Jesus Christ hath saved us, whom having crucified upon the cross by the hands of men, he hath put to naught the power of death: we bow down before his three-day resurrection.

From the Archangel we receive the hymn of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ: for He is our Saviour and our Salvation, in glory more terrible and mighty in power; again He cometh to judge the world, which He created.

Glory, and praise now to Thee, O Virgin Theotokos, Gospel canticle:

Thou hast revealed the mysteries! Thou hast shown wonders, and preached the divine glory; for Emmanuel was the gate of death overcome by His love for man, but the virgin's key He did not break by God: but thus from the womb He went forth, as though by hearing entering in: so He was incarnate, as though being conceived: without passion He entered, unspeakably and departed, according to the prophecy speaking: these gates shall be shut; none shall go through them, except One, the Lord Jesus Christ, who holds the key of prayer.

Thy Resurrection, O Jesus Christ, hath enlightened all the world, and by Thy invocation Thou hast called unto Thee Thy creation: O All-powerful Lord, glory be to Thee.

All ye who sorrow, joy; and thou, O Intercessor Theotokos, and thou, O Nourisher of the poor, comfort for strangers, and staff for the blind, visitation for the sick, and protector and helper of those striving in prayer and intercession, and helper of the needy, Mother of God, from on high, thou art most merciful: strive, we pray thee, to save thy servants.

Every unrighteous deed, every sin, unrestrained and felt within me, I have wrought: I am worthy of every condemnation! Let there be repentance for my iniquity; that I may not be condemned there, for into Thee, O Lord, will I write my prayer, calling upon the intercessor, that Thou dost not disgrace me, O Faithful Witness.

And now, O God, when we have fallen into the place of prayer, and to the Creator and Intercessor we have no access: save us not by Thy heat of intercession, but rather in Thy love hast Thou humbled those who came under the shelter of Thy roof, O God of our fathers: strive thou, and give us Thy help, and now deliver us from our present anger.

Glory, and now, O Theotokos, voice third:

Whoever shall praise thee and bless thee according to thy dignity, O virgin evangelist, because thou hast been the world's deliverance: we, thy handmaids, call thee with joy, saying: Rejoice, thou that didst save Adam by thy sanctification, and didst partake in the union. Rejoice, thou that didst enlighten our race with the light of thy resurrection from the dead and of God our Father: for the heavenly race continually blesseth thee.
