Before the Word was born of the Father ever since the ages, and was made flesh from the Virgin's womb, come let us adore: for having endured, He was delivered up to burial, as He Himself willed; and He rose from the dead, and saved me, a wanderer in error.

Jesus Christ hath saved us, whom having crucified upon the cross by the hands of men, he hath stripped death of its power and raised him on the third day: we bow before his three-day resurrection.

From the Archangel we receive the hymn of the Resurrection: for by Him is Saviour and Deliverer of our souls, and in His glory more terrible and powerful in strength, again cometh to judge the world, which He created.

Glory, and honour, and praise, now and ever, O Virgin Theotokos, doctrine-bearer, voice:

Blessed be the mysteries! I have seen wonders, I preach salvation; for Emmanuel is the gate of death overcome by His love for man, but the key of virginity He did not break, for God: but thus from the womb He went forth, as though heard with the ear: so was incarnate, as though conceived: impassibly entered, unspeakably went forth, according to the prophecy spoken: these gates shall be shut: no one shall go through them, except One, the Lord Jesus Christ, who holds the key of prayer.

Thy Resurrection, O Jesus Christ, hath enlightened all the world, and by Thy invocation Thou hast called unto Thee Thy creation: O all-powerful Glory of the Lord.

All ye who sorrow, joy; and thou, our Intercessor, O Theotokos, and thou, our Nourisher, comfort for the strangers, and staff for the blind, visitation for the weak, covering and protection, helper of the poor, Mother of God, Thou Highest: strive, we pray thee, to save thy servants.

Every unrighteous deed, every sin, not being endured with patience, I have committed: I am worthy of every condemnation! O Lord, grant me repentance, for that I may not be condemned there; for Thou wilt write my prayer-maiden, my intercessor, not to shame me, O Faithful Witness.

When we, thy servants and suppliants, have no other refuge, save Thee, O God: do not let us perish through Thy intercession, but rather glorify the love of those who come under Thy roof, O our God; strive thou, and give us Thy help, and deliver us from this present anger.

Glory, and honour, now, O Theotokos, voice 3:

Whoever praises Thee according to Thy dignity and glorifieth Thee, O youthful evangelist, who by thee was brought about the world's deliverance: we, thy maidens, call upon Thee with thanksgiving, saying: Rejoice, thou that didst save Adam, and didst partake of his nature. Rejoice, thou that didst enlighten our race with the light of Thy resurrection and God Our Lord's: for continually doth the race of the Christians glorify thee.
