Before ever the Word of God was born of the Father, and was made flesh from the Virgin's womb, come let us adore: for having endured, He was delivered up to death by burial, as He Himself willed; and He rose again from the dead, saving me the erring man.

Jesus Christ hath saved us, whom having crucified upon the cross by the hands of men, he did lay open death's mighty hold: we bow down to his three-day resurrection.

From the Archangel we receive the hymn of the Resurrection of Christ: for He is our Saviour and Deliverer of souls, and in greater glory and might, again cometh to judge the world, which He created.

Glory, and honour, and worship now, Theotokos, dogmatic, voice:

Blessed be the mysteries! I have seen wonders, I preach salvation; for Emmanuel is the gate of death overcome by His love for man, but the virgin's key He did not break by God: but thus from within He went forth, as though by hearing entered: so was incarnate, as was conceived: impassibly entered, unspeakably went forth, according to the prophecy spoken: these gates shall be shut: no one shall go through them, except One, the Lord Jesus Christ, who holds the key of prayer.

Thou, O Jesus Christ, hast risen from the dead, enlightening all the world and calling unto Thee Thy creation: most mighty is Thy glory, Thee the Lord.

All ye who sorrow, joy; and thou, O Intercessor Theotokos, and thou, O Nourisher of the poor, comfort for strangers, and staff for the blind, visitation for the sick, those striving in prayer and intercessor, and helper of the needy, most holy Mother of God, thou highest: Strive, we pray thee, to save thy servants.

Every unrighteous deed, every sin, unrestrained and felt not, I have committed: every condemnation am I worthy! Let there be mercy for me from Thy holy ones, because lest I be condemned there, I will write my prayer to the intercessor Theotokos, that Thou dost not disgrace me, O God Faithful.

And now, coming to the place of prayer, we who have no refuge nor intercessor with Thee, God: lest Thou suddenly smite us by Thy warmth of intercession; but rather, because Thou hast humbled love itself that sought shelter under Thy roof, O God of our Father: strive, and give us Thy help, and now deliver us from the present anger.

Glory, and honour, now, O Theotokos, voice 3:

Whoever shall praise Thee and bless Thee according to Thy worthiness, O youthful evangelist, who by thee was brought the salvation of the world: we, thy handmaids, call upon Thee with thanksgiving, saying: Rejoice, having saved Adam from death, and having separated the joined together. Rejoice, having enlightened our race with the light of Thy Resurrection and God Our Lord's: for by Thy Incarnation the race of Thy handmaidens is unceasingly blessed.
