By the Life-giving Hand,
O Lord, who hast risen from dark deceptions,
Life-bearer, Thou didst raise all Jesus Christ,
Raising to life the human race:
For Thou art the Saviour of all,
Raiser of life and God of all.

O Lord, have mercy, Thee.

Through every season and at every hour, on high and on earth, we bow down before Thee, O Christ, God, long-suffering, full of mercy, rich in compassion, righteous to those who love Thee, merciful to sinners, Who hast promised salvation to all who call upon Thee for the sake of those yet to be: Thou, Lord, hear our prayer at this hour and make our life according to Thy commandments; sanctify our soul, cleanse our body, rectify our thoughts, purify our mind, and deliver us from every tribulation and sickness. Keep us under the protection of Thy holy angels, that by their intercession we may be kept and instructed, and attain unity in faith and understanding of Thy ineffable glory: Blessed art Thou for ever and ever, Amen.

Thus: The Lord have mercy. [Three times.]

Glory to Thee, O God, and to Thy Christ, and to Thy Holy Spirit, both now and ever and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

Most glorious Cherubim, and most renowned Seraphim, we magnify Thy uncreated Word, O God, which hath begotten the Theotokos, ever existing in honor as Queen.

By the prayers of our holy Mother, Jesus Christ, O Lord, have mercy on us, amen.

Therefore, great mercy of the holy basil:

Blessed be Thou, O Lord, and all Thy creatures, and whatsoever Thou hast made by Thine own uncreated will, for the sake of Thy holy Christ Jesus, our Lord, Who, having been begotten of Thy Holy Spirit from Thyself, was sent down upon earth for our salvation. By His most precious Body and Blood, He has rent asunder the wounds of our sins, and by them hath overcome the powers of darkness: Thou, O Lover of mankind, receive us sinners with thanksgiving and prayer, and deliver us from every evil, all-encompassing and dark transgression; and forgive all those who seek Thee, whether visible or invisible enemies. Pierce our flesh with Thy fear, that our hearts may not incline to the thoughts and words of wickedness: but by Thine own love, arouse our souls, that ever gazing upon Thee, we may be instructed by Thee with light, and continually offer Thee unceasing confession and thanksgiving, without beginning or end, with Thy only-begotten Son and God, and all ye holy ones, and the Life-giving Spirit, now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.
