God-wise saint, as a treasure of virtues and a secret place of divine ascensions, and the Thessalonite shepherd was God-like and wise, you were the divine lot, the venerable one, hearing from us:
Rejoice, mouth of theologians;
Rejoice, power of the Orthodox.
Rejoice, the most precise rule of the priests;
Rejoice, thou imprinted of shepherds in the image of God.
Rejoice, trumpet of the divine teachings of the saints;
Rejoice, flowing fountain of God, flowing forth new water.
Rejoice, blessed chief shepherd to Thessaloniki;
Rejoice, God-speaking representative of Orthodoxy.
Rejoice, Light to the divine servant;
Rejoice, immaculate lives to the teacher.
Rejoice, cleanse the filthiness of your soul;
Rejoice, arouse the jealousy of the faithful.
Rejoice, Father Gregory, preacher of grace.
