An angel of morals and great understanding, O Nicodemus, you appeared on Athos; You have an angelic life, with an angelic voice you explained the paternal scriptures, in which you enlighten those who cry:
Rejoice, Naxian beauty;
Rejoice, Athos illumination.
Rejoice, exposition of fatherly dogmas;
Rejoice, holy verb explanation.
Rejoice, the height of wisdom and wisdom is river;
Rejoice, depth of divine knowledge and treasure of love.
Rejoice, for you have appeared as a God-bearing scribe;
Rejoice, for you are a God-speaking interpreter.
Rejoice, lamp of the morals of honesty;
Rejoice, fiery mountain of lordship.
Rejoice, for the faithfulness is established;
Rejoice, they are afraid of enemies.
Rejoice, Father Nicodemus, Holy Mountains, glorious decoration.
