In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen

In Russian: In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

In the name - in honor, in glory. Amen - truly, truly.

Who is meant by the words: Father, and Son, and Holy Spirit?

Three faces of the Holy Trinity. We believe that God is one, but He has three persons: the 1st person of the Holy Trinity is God the Father, the 2nd person is God the Son, the 3rd person is God the Holy Spirit. These three persons of the Holy Trinity have the same power, honor and worship.

Why is it said here: in the name, and not in the names?

As a sign that God, although He has three persons, is essentially only one.

Why was the word added: Amen?

As a sign that everything we read in prayer is true.

When should this prayer be said?

Before every good deed, because we must do everything in honor and glory of the three persons of the Holy Trinity.
