Glory to Thee, O All-Pure, O All-Holy, O Virgin Most Pure, O Mother of God!
Thou didst receive the Word, and wast made the Cause of Joy for all the world.
Thou art the Life, Thou art the Life-giver, Thou art the Life of the universe.
Through Thee we have been brought to the knowledge of God, through Thee we have found the way to life.
By Thee we are saved from death and from the power of the enemy; by Thee we are made partakers of the divine nature.
Thou didst receive the Holy Spirit in the womb of Thy purity, and wast filled with all the gifts of God.
Thou art the Tabernacle of the Most High, Thou art the Temple of the Life-giving Spirit.
Thou didst bear within Thee Him Who is beyond understanding, and wast made the Joy of Angels and the Hope of Men.
Thou didst give birth to the Sun of Justice, and wast made the Dawn of the world's salvation.
Thou didst receive the Child in Thy arms, and wast made the Nurse of God, the Ever-Virgin.
Thou didst bring forth Him Who is the Beginning and End of all things, and wast made the Cause of our Salvation.
Through Thee we are saved from sin and death; through Thee we have been brought to the knowledge of righteousness and peace.
O Virgin Most Pure, pray unto Thy Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, that He may have mercy upon us and save us.

And Thou, as One having invincible power, deliver us from all our sorrows, that we may call Thee:

Seeing Thee, O Holy Andrei with Epifanius in the church on high for Christians praying to God Christ our Lord, recognized Thee as Mother who lifted up Christ our God into heaven, and, falling prostrate upon the earth, joyfully bowed down before Thy all-blessed covering, crying: Alleluia.
Ра́зумъ недоразумѣ́ненъ еси́, Богоро́дице Дѣ́во, въ защище́ніи люде́й правосла́вныхъ, сего́ ра́ди врази́ на́ши и не познаю́тъ, ко́ль сильна́ е́сть моли́тва Бо́жія Ма́тере. Мы́ же, о Твое́мъ всемо́щномъ заступле́ніи до́брѣ вѣ́дуще, си́це къ Тебѣ́ со умиле́ніемъ зове́мъ:
O Soul of the Virgin God-bearer, Thou art not without understanding, for in defending the righteous people Thine enemies know not how mighty is the prayer of the Divine Mother. And we, knowing the good effect of Thy all-powerful intercession, with compunction thus call upon Thee:

Rejoice, most merciful Comforter of all who sorrow and are burdened;

The might of the High One overshadoweth with faith and reverence those who flee to Thy most holy covering: for by one point alone, O Most Holy and Pure Mother of God, was given that every petition Thee may be fulfilled. Therefore, all the ages of the faithful glorify Thee and Thy Son, crying out: Alleluia.

O Lady, Thou who dost help us in the tempest of many afflictions, standing before the Lord's altar with uplifted hands and praying that the Lord, the King of glory, might vouchsafe to look upon our unworthy prayer and hear the supplications of those invoking Thy holy name, calling also unto Thine Son: Alleluia.

Hearing the Lord God Jesus Nazianzen praying and commanding the sun to stand until He had avenged His enemies. Hearing this, the Lord Jesus, Thy chosen Palace of the Holy Spirit, now heareth Thy prayers. Therefore, we, sinners, trusting in Thy protection, O Mother of God, boldly cry:

O Theotokos, Moses in the battle against Amalek sometimes uplifted his rod, and when his rod was raised up, Israel prevailed; but when he let it fall down, then Amalek prevailed. With those supporting him, he was strengthened, and he overcame the enemy. But thou, O Mother of God, uplifting thy hands in prayer, though without any support, always dost overcome the Christian enemies, and art our invincible shield, crying out: Alleluia.

Having seen Thee, O Holy Assembly in the air within the Church of Vlaherne, with hands uplifted in prayer to Thy Son and God, joyfully Thou didst sing a hymn with the Archangels and Angels. We also, strengthened by Thine hand, stronger than Moses' rods, humbly cry out:

That even he among them who is worthy of judgment by the righteous judgment of God, through Thy powerful protection, be preserved for repentance: alleluia.

O Most Pure Virgin, Mother of the Lord of heavenly powers, Queen of our city and country, all-powerful Intercessor! Receive this hymn of praise and thanksgiving from us, Thy unworthy servants, and lift up our prayers to the throne of God, Thy Son, that He may be merciful towards our iniquities and bestow His grace upon those who reverently and with faith worship Thy most holy name and the wondrous image of Thee. We are not worthy to receive mercy from Him, but Thou hast moved Him with compassion for us, O Mistress, since all things are possible to Thee from Him. For this reason we flee to Thee as to our certain and speedy Intercessor: hear our prayers, O Who art praying to Thee, overshadow us with Thy almighty protection and beseech God, Thy Son, our Shepherd—zeal and watchfulness for the souls, governors—wisdom and strength, judges—righteousness and uprightness, teachers—understanding and humility, spouses—love and harmony, children—obedience, those wronged—patience, those doing wrong—awe of God, those sorrowing—goodwill, those rejoicing—moderation, all of us—the spirit of reason and piety, the spirit of mercy and meekness, the spirit of purity and righteousness. Have mercy on Thy feeble people, O Most Pure Mistress: gather together the scattered, guide those astray onto the right path, support the aged, instruct the young, nurture the virgins, and look upon all of us with the gaze of Thine merciful intercession, raise us up from the depths of our sins and enlighten our hearts to see the vision of salvation. Be merciful to us here and there, in the land of our earthly sojourn and at the fearful judgment of Thy Son. And may those fathers and brothers who have fallen asleep in faith and repentance live with Thee forever in eternal life with the angels and all the saints. For Thou art, O Mistress, the glory of the heavenly and the hope of the earthly, Thou art our Hope and Intercessor for all, to whom we come with faith. O Holy Theotokos, my Queen, my Hope, my Most Pure Lady, helper of the poor and stranger, protector of the afflicted and defender against oppressors, behold my distress, behold my sorrow: from everywhere I am beset by temptation, and there is none to intercede for me. Thou, O Thou Thyself, help me, as I am weak, comfort me, as I am a stranger, guide me, as I have gone astray, heal me and save me, as I am without hope. For I have no other aid, nor any other advocate or consolation, except Thee, O Mother of all who suffer and are burdened!
