Venerable Queen, chosen by the Eternal King, surpassing every created thing in heaven and on earth, who sometimes came to the Church of Vlaherne for prayer, we offer thee worthy veneration with thanksgiving, as in the darkness present, under Thy shining censer with faith and compunction we flee. And Thou, having invincible power, deliver us from all our sorrows, that we may call Thee:
افرحي يا فرحتنا وغطينا من كل شر بأومفوريونك الصادق.
Арха́нгелъ и а́нгелъ мно́жество, съ Предте́чею, Богосло́вомъ и всѣ́хъ святы́хъ ли́комъ сопредста́ша Тебѣ́, Цари́цѣ свое́й, въ це́ркви Влахе́рнстѣй и, умиле́нная моле́нія Твоя́ о все́мъ мíрѣ слы́шавше, со удивле́ніемъ возопи́ша такова́я:
Arhaŋelъ i ángelъ mnóžestvo, s Predtečieю, Bogoslavomъ i vsekh svyatých líkom sobredstaša Tebié, Tsaričieю svojej́, v tsěrkvi Vlaherństěj i, umilělenna moliénija Tvjá o vsjem míre slyšavše, so udivléniem vozopijaša takováya:
Ра́дуйся, Бо́га Отца́ безнача́льнаго превѣ́чное благоволе́ніе;
Rejoice, O Theotokos, in the eternal well-will of God the Father without beginning.

Rejoice, O Pure Dwelling of the Unaging Son of God.
افرحي يا مسكن الله الروح القدس المختار.
افرحوا أيها العجب الذي لا ينتهي في صفوف الملائكة في الأعالي.
افرحوا أيها الردع المهدد لقوى الجحيم المظلمة.

Rejoice, Thou in whom many-eyed cherubim meet upon the air.
افرحي يا من يُنسب مدحه إلى السيرافيم ذات الرؤوس الستة.
Ра́дуйся, Ея́же преблаго́му покро́ву и мы́, земноро́дніи, благода́рнѣ покланя́емся.
Rejoice, O Thou whose Blessed Covering is upon us, and we, earth-born, with thankful hearts bow down in worship.
افرحي يا فرحتنا وغطينا من كل شر بأومفوريونك الصادق.
Ви́дѣвше Тя́ святы́й Андре́й съ Епифа́ніемъ въ це́ркви на возду́сѣ за христіа́ны Бо́гу моля́щуюся, позна́ша, я́ко Ма́терь еси́ возне́сшагося на не́бо Христа́ Бо́га на́шего, и, припа́дше на зе́млю, ра́достно покланя́хуся всеблаго́му покро́ву Твоему́, зову́ще: Аллилу́ія.
Saw Thee, O Holy Andrei with Epifanius in the church on high for Christians praying to God, knew that Thou art the Mother who hath uplifted Christ our God into heaven, and, falling to the earth, joyfully prostrated themselves before Thy all-blessed covering, crying: Alleluia.
Ра́зумъ недоразумѣ́ненъ еси́, Богоро́дице Дѣ́во, въ защище́ніи люде́й правосла́вныхъ, сего́ ра́ди врази́ на́ши и не познаю́тъ, ко́ль сильна́ е́сть моли́тва Бо́жія Ма́тере. Мы́ же, о Твое́мъ всемо́щномъ заступле́ніи до́брѣ вѣ́дуще, си́це къ Тебѣ́ со умиле́ніемъ зове́мъ:
O Theotokos, Venerable Lady, Thy understanding is not confounded, in the defense of the righteous people. Therefore, our enemies do not know, how mighty is the prayer of God's Mother. But we, knowing the good effect of Thy all-powerful intercession, with compunction thus call upon Thee:
Ра́дуйся, премилосе́рдая утѣ́шительнице всѣ́хъ скорбя́щихъ и обремене́нныхъ;
Rejoice, most merciful Comforter of all who sorrow and are burdened;
Ра́дуйся, неусыпа́ющая наста́внице всѣ́хъ заблу́ждшихъ и ослѣпле́нныхъ.
Rejoice, O Unsleeping Instructor of all who wander astray and are blinded.
Ра́дуйся, пра́ведно дви́жимый гнѣ́въ Бо́жій на на́съ Твои́мъ моле́ніемъ ско́ро утоля́ющая;
Rejoice, righteously moved by God's wrath upon us through Thy prayer, quickly appeasing it.
افرحوا ، ترويض عواطفنا الشريرة بإيماءة قادرة على كل شيء.
Ра́дуйся, крѣ́пкое возбужде́ніе спя́щихъ со́вѣстей;
Rejoice, O strong awakening of sleeping consciences;
Ра́дуйся, нетру́дное преодолѣ́ніе беззако́нныхъ на́выковъ.
Rejoice, O effortless overcoming of lawless habits.
رَحْمَانَكِ يَا أُولَاهَا لِذَلِكَ تَبْكِي وَدُوَّابَاتِ الشَّيْطَانِ تَتَرَدَّجُونَ
Ра́дуйся, Ея́же ра́ди врата́ Ра́я всѣ́мъ на́мъ отверза́ются.
Rejoice, Thou Whose sake the gates of Raia are opened to all us.
افرحي يا فرحتنا وغطينا من كل شر بأومفوريونك الصادق.
Си́ла Вы́шняго осѣня́етъ съ вѣ́рою и благоговѣ́ніемъ прибѣга́ющихъ къ Твоему́ всечестно́му покро́ву: еди́нѣй бо то́чію Тебѣ́, Пресвятѣ́й и Пречи́стѣй Ма́тери Бо́жіей, даде́ся, да вся́кое проше́ніе Твое́ испо́лнится. Тѣ́мъ у́бо вся́къ во́зрастъ вѣ́рныхъ славосло́витъ Тя́ и Сы́на Твоего́, зову́щь: Аллилу́ія.
The might of the High One overshadoweth with faith and reverence those who flee to Thy most holy covering: for by one point alone, O Most Holy and Most Pure Mother of God, was given that every petition Thee may be fulfilled. Therefore, every age of the faithful glorifieth Thee and Thy Son, crying out: Alleluia.

Having the unsparing treasury of mercy, O Mistress, thou stretchest forth thy hand of help to all ends of the earth. To the sick, healing; to the suffering, relief; to the blind, sight; and to all whatsoever, according as their need, thou givest, and the thankful cry out with praise:

Rejoice, O Imperishable Citadel and Enclosure of the Kingdoms of the Righteous.

Бу́рею мно́гихъ бѣ́дъ одержи́мымъ на́мъ помога́еши, Влады́чице: стои́ши бо предъ лице́мъ олтаря́ Госпо́дня, воздви́гши ру́цѣ Твои́ и мо́лишися, я́ко да на́шу недосто́йную моли́тву при́зритъ Госпо́дъ, Ца́рь сла́вы, и послу́шаетъ проше́нія призыва́ющихъ и́мя Твое́ свято́е, къ Сы́ну же Твоему́ зову́щихъ: Аллилу́ія.
O Lady, in the tempest of many afflictions Thou dost help us; standing before the Lord's altar, Thou liftest up Thy hands and prayest that the Lord, the King of glory, might regard our unworthy prayer and hear the supplication of those calling upon Thy holy name, even as they call upon Thine Only-Begotten Son: Alleluia.
Слы́ша Госпо́дь Бо́гъ Іису́са Нави́на моля́щася, и повелѣва́юща со́лнцу ста́ти, до́ндеже отмсти́тъ враго́мъ. Слы́шитъ и Твоя́ ны́нѣ моле́нія Госпо́дь Іису́съ, избра́нная па́лато Ду́ха Свята́го. Тѣ́мже и мы́, грѣ́шніи, на Тво́й надѣ́ющеся покро́въ, Тебѣ́, я́ко Бо́жіей Ма́тери, глаго́лати дерза́емъ:
Hearing the Lord God Jesus Nazianzen praying and commanding the sun to stand until he had avenged his enemies, the Lord Jesus, thy chosen dwelling of the Holy Spirit, doth hear also thy prayers now. Therefore, we sinners, trusting in Thy protection, boldly cry to Thee, O Divine Mother:
Ра́дуйся, отъ Со́лнца мы́сленнаго озаре́нная и на́съ свѣ́томъ незаходи́мымъ просвѣща́ющая;
Rejoice, O enlightened by the Light of Thought and illuminating us with an Unsetting Light.
Ра́дуйся, сія́ніемъ пречи́стыя души́ Твоея́ всю́ зе́млю просвѣти́вшая.
Rejoice, O Shining One, by the light of Thy pure soul Thou hast enlightened all the earth.
Ра́дуйся, чистото́ю тѣлесе́ Твоего́ всѣ́ небеса́ возвесели́вшая;
Rejoice, by the purity of Thy body all heavens hast thou gladened;

Rejoice, O holy protectors and supply of Christ's disciples.

Rejoice, O pastors of the Church, for Thy vigilance and enlightenment;
افرحوا أيها الرهبان والراهبات المعلمات الخائفين الله.

Rejoice, O unshakable peace of the pious elders;

Богови́децъ Моисе́й въ ополче́ніи иногда́ на Амали́ка, егда́ ру́цѣ воздвиза́ше, Изра́иль одолѣва́ше, егда́ же ру́цѣ низпуща́ше, тогда́ Амали́къ побѣжда́ше, поддержа́щими же его́ укрѣпле́нъ, побѣди́ врага́. Ты́ же, о Богома́ти, воздѣ́вши ру́цѣ Твои́ на умоле́ніе, а́ще и ники́мже поддержи́ма, всегда́ побѣжда́еши враги́ христіа́нскія, и на́мъ щи́тъ еси́ непобѣди́мъ, вопію́щимъ: Аллилу́ія.
O Theotokos, Moses in the battle against Amalek sometimes uplifted his rod, and Israel prevailed; but when he let it fall, Amalek prevailed. With those supporting him, he was strengthened, and conquered the enemy. Thou, however, O Mother of God, uplifting Thy hands in prayer, though unsupported, ever conquerest the Christian enemies, and art our invincible shield, crying out: Alleluia.
Ви́дѣвше Тя́ святы́хъ собо́ри на возду́сѣ въ це́ркви Влахе́рнстѣй, моле́бніи ру́цѣ къ Сы́ну и Бо́гу простира́ющую, ра́достно со арха́нгелы и а́нгелы благода́рную Ти́ пѣ́снь воспѣ́ша. Мы́ же крѣпча́йшима, па́че Моисе́овыхъ ру́къ, дла́ньма Твои́ма укрѣпля́еми, уми́льно вопіе́мъ:
Having seen Thee, O Holy Assembly in the air within the Church of Vlaherne, Thy hands stretched out in prayer to the Son and God, joyfully Thou hast been sung a hymn by the Archangels and Angels. We also, strengthened more than Moses' hands by Thine, with compunction cry out:
Ра́дуйся, Ея́же ру́цѣ поддержи́тъ за всѣ́хъ на́съ еди́ная Ея́ къ на́мъ любо́вь и милосе́рдіе;
Rejoice, Thou Whose right hand upholdeth us with one love and mercy for all of us.
افرحوا، إن أعداءنا، المرئيين وغير المرئيين، لا يستطيعون الوقوف أمام الغيب.
افرحوا يا من تطردون حشد أهوائنا وشهواتنا المظلم.
Ра́дуйся, Огнь Боже́ственный — Христа́ неопа́льно на руку́ Свое́ю держа́щая и на́съ, хла́дныхъ, тѣ́мъ воспламе́няющая.
Rejoice, O Divine Fire — holding Christ Unburningly in Thy Hand and warming us, the cold ones, with Thy Flame.
Ра́дуйся, во́инствующихъ на пло́ть цѣлому́дріемъ изря́дное вѣнча́ніе;
Rejoice, O warriors in the flesh for the whole-hearted crowning with great zeal;
Ра́дуйся, подвиза́ющихся въ постѣ́ и безмо́лвіи при́сное собесѣ́дованіе.
Rejoice, O thou that dost converse with them that strive in fasting and silence, their pure inner discourse.

Rejoice, O Comforter swift to cheer the faint-hearted and troubled in spirit;

Rejoice, O Mercy of humility and patience supplying.

Проповѣ́дникъ неоскудѣва́емыя благода́ти и ми́лостей Твои́хъ яви́ся святы́й Рома́нъ Сладкопѣ́вецъ, егда́ отъ Тебе́ во снѣ́ прія́тъ сви́токъ кни́жный на снѣде́ніе: тѣ́мъ у́бо умудре́нъ, нача́ разу́мно пѣ́ти во сла́ву Твою́, святы́мъ же писа́ти похва́льная, взыва́я съ вѣ́рою: Аллилу́ія.
Preacher of unmeasured grace and mercy, holy Roman Sladkopevets, having received from Thee a pleasant book on the pillow in sleep, thereby was enlightened to begin wisely to sing in Thy glory, and with faith to write praiseful words, crying out: Alleluia.
Возсія́ла еси́ отъ и́стиннаго Со́лнца пра́вды заря́, Дѣ́во Богоотрокови́це, просвѣща́ющая всѣ́хъ прему́дростію Бо́га, Сы́на Твоего́, и въ позна́ніе и́стины приводя́щая зову́щихъ Ти́ такова́я:
Thou hast shone forth a dawn of the true Sun of Righteousness, O Virgin Theotokos, enlightening all by the wisdom of Thy Son, God, and leading them to knowledge of truth who call upon Thee thus:
افرحي يا من ولدت القوة الإلهية والحكمة الإلهية بالمسيح في الجسد.
Ра́дуйся, юро́дивую му́дрость вѣ́ка сего́ посрами́вшая, и ослѣпле́нныхъ е́ю на пу́ть пра́вый наставля́ющая.
Rejoice, O foolish wisdom of this age that hath put to shame the wisdom thereof, and guideth them that are blinded by it onto the straight path.
Ра́дуйся, святы́я вѣ́ры охране́ніе и правосла́вныхъ догма́товъ наста́внице;
Rejoice, O guardian of the holy faith and instructor of the Orthodox dogmas.
افرحي يا مدمر البدع الشريرة والانقسامات الخبيثة.
Ра́дуйся, та́йная и неудо́бь предви́дѣнная вся́ до́брѣ вѣ́дущая, и и́мже подоба́етъ, сказу́ющая;
Rejoice, O mysterious and hard to foresee in all things, guiding ever for good, and saying what is meet.
افرحوا أيها الذين يهينون العرافين الكاذبين والعرافين الباطلين.
Ра́дуйся, въ ча́съ недоумѣ́ній мы́сль бла́гу на се́рдце полага́ющая;
Rejoice, who in the hour of perplexity layest up a good thought upon the heart;
افرحي يا من تخلصي نفسك من المساعي الهدامة والتمنيات التي لا معنى لها.
افرحي يا فرحتنا وغطينا من كل شر بأومفوريونك الصادق.
Хотя́й долготерпѣли́вый Всеви́децъ Госпо́дь яви́ти Своего́ человѣколю́бія неизслѣ́димую щедро́тъ бе́здну, избра́ Тебе́ еди́ну въ Ма́терь Себѣ́, и сотвори́ Тя лю́демъ непреодолѣ́нное защище́ніе: да а́ще кто́ отъ ни́хъ и пра́веднымъ судо́мъ Бо́жіимъ осужде́нія досто́инъ яви́тся, Твои́мъ оба́че держа́внымъ покро́вомъ сохраня́ется на покая́ніе, зовы́й: Аллилу́ія.
Lord, Most Patient and All-Seeing, may it please Thee to reveal the boundless mercy of Thy human love by choosing for Thee alone as Thy Mother one from among men, and make her a defense unassailable for mankind: that even if any of them be found worthy of judgment by the just judgment of God, through Thy power He may be preserved under Thy protective shelter for repentance, crying out: Alleluia.
Ди́вная показа́лъ еси́ дѣла́ Твоя́ въ Пречи́стѣй Ма́тери Твое́й, Го́споди, егда́ пречу́дный омофо́ръ въ руцѣ́ Ея́ свѣтя́щійся па́че лу́чь со́лнечныхъ яви́ся, и́мже покрыва́ше лю́ди, су́щія въ це́ркви Влахе́рнстѣй. О таковѣ́мъ у́бо зна́меніи милосе́рднаго Ея́ заступле́нія услы́шавше, у́жасомъ и ра́достію одержи́ми, вси́ глаго́лаху:
O such a wondrous manifestation of Thy works in the Most Pure Mother Thine, O Lord, when the marvellous icon-bearer, shining brighter than the solar light, appeared in Her hand, covering those who were in the church of Vlaherne. Having heard of this sign of Her merciful protection, all were seized with fear and joy, and they said:
Ра́дуйся, нерукотворе́нный омофо́ръ, а́ки о́блакъ, надъ всѣ́мъ мíромъ распросте́ршая;
Rejoice, O Uncreated Icon, as a cloud spread over all the world;
Ра́дуйся, Превѣ́чнаго Архіере́я, Сы́на Своего́, зна́меніе на руцѣ́ Свое́й держа́щая.
Rejoice, Eternal Archetypal High Priest, Son Thine, holding in Thy Hand the Token of Thy Name.
Ра́дуйся, но́вую ми́лость и но́вую благода́ть си́мъ въ Це́ркви Правосла́внѣй явля́ющая;
Rejoice, O new mercy and new grace hereby manifested in the Orthodox Church.
Ра́дуйся, сто́лпе о́блачный, отъ искуше́ній и собла́зновъ мíра всѣ́хъ на́съ покрыва́ющій.
Rejoice, O Clouded Pillar, covering all of us from the temptations and deceits of the world's vanities.
Ра́дуйся, сто́лпе о́гненный, среди́ мглы́ грѣха́ всѣ́мъ на́мъ пу́ть спасе́нія показу́ющій;
Rejoice, O Pillar of Fire, in the midst of the darkness of sin, showing us all the way to salvation.
Ра́дуйся, я́вныхъ благоче́стія подви́жниковъ я́вное укрѣпле́ніе.
Rejoice, O champions of visible piety; your evident strengthening is manifest.
افرحوا أيها التحذير السري لخدام الله في وسط العالم.
Ра́дуйся, и мене́, обнаже́ннаго до́брыхъ дѣ́лъ, не оставля́ющая Свои́мъ покро́вомъ и благода́тію.
Rejoice, and me, stripped of good deeds, not leaving me by Thy covering and mercy.
افرحي يا فرحتنا وغطينا من كل شر بأومفوريونك الصادق.

Divno Thea ot nebes va Vlahernest'e tsarkvi yavlyshchuyas', angeli vospeshcha, apostoli proslaviша, lik svyatitel' i prepodonikh, i zheni svyatikh sosl'i voskhvalishcha, Predtecha s Bogoslovom poklonishchas', lyudiже sushiye v tsarkvi, s vesel'im voipiashu: Alliluiya.
Всѣ́ми вы́шними и ни́жними влады́чествуя Госпо́дь, узрѣ́въ Тя́ въ це́ркви Ма́терь Свою́ стоя́щу и со умиле́ніемъ къ Нему́ моля́щуся, рече́: «проси́, Ма́ти Моя́, зане́ не отвращу́ся Тебе́, но испо́лню вся́ проше́нія Твоя́ и благода́рственная си́це Тебѣ́ всѣ́хъ пѣ́ти научу́»:

O Most Pure Virgin, Mother of the Lord of Hosts in Heaven and on Earth, Queen of our city and country, all-powerful Intercessor! Receive this hymn of praise and thanksgiving from us, unworthy servants of Thine, and raise up our prayers to the throne of God, Thy Son, that He may be merciful towards our injustices and grant blessing to those who reverently venerate Thy most holy name with faith and love, adoring the miraculous image of Thee. We are not worthy to receive mercy from Him, but Thou hast moved His heart toward us, O Mistress, for all things are possible to Thee from Him. For this reason we flee to Thee as to our certain and speedy Intercessor: hear our prayers, those who beseech Thee, cover us with Thy almighty protection, and ask of God, Thy Son, our shepherd—zeal and watchfulness for souls; mayors—wisdom and strength; judges—righteousness and honesty; teachers—understanding and humility; spouses—love and harmony; children—obedience; those wronged—patience; those who wrong others—the fear of God; the sorrowful—goodwill; the joyful—moderation; to all of us—spirit of reason and piety, spirit of mercy and meekness, spirit of purity and righteousness. Have pity on Thy feeble people, O Most Pure Mistress: gather together the scattered, lead those astray onto the right path, support the elderly, instruct the young, nurture the virgins, and look upon all of us with the gaze of Thy merciful intercession, raise us up from the depths of sin, and enlighten our hearts to see the vision of salvation. Be merciful to us here and there, in the land of our earthly sojourn and at the fearful judgment of Thy Son. Having departed in faith and repentance during their lives, let our fathers and brothers live with the angels and all the saints in eternal life. For Thou art, O Mistress, the glory of the heavenly and hope of the earthly, Thee as our Hope and Intercessor for all who come to Thee with faith. To Thee we pray now and always, ourselves and one another, offering up our entire lives, now and forevermore. Amen.

O Holy Theotokos, my Queen, my Hope, my Most Pure Lady, helper of the poor and stranger, protector of the afflicted and oppressor, behold my distress, behold my sorrow: from everywhere I am beset by temptation, and there is none to intercede for me. Thou, however, O Thou Who art the Intercessor, help me, being weak, nourish me, being a stranger, guide me, being lost, heal me and save me, being without hope. For I have no other help, nor any advocate or comfort, but only Thee, O Mother of all who suffer and are burdened! Behold now upon me, the sinful one and one in suffering, and cover me with Thy Most Holy Veil, that I may be delivered from evil, which has encompassed me, and praise Thee always, O most glorious Name.
