Venerable Queen, chosen by the Eternal King, surpassing every created thing in heaven and on earth, who came sometimes to the Church of Vladimir for prayer, we offer thee worthy worship with thanksgiving, as in the darkness present, under Thy shining censer, we flee with faith and compunction. And Thou, having invincible power, deliver us from all our sorrows, that we may call Thee:

Rejoice, Thou in whom many-eyed cherubim often meet upon the air.

Rejoice, O Thou whose benign covering is upon us, and we, earth-born, with thankful hearts bow down in worship.

Ви́дѣвше Тя́ святы́й Андре́й съ Епифа́ніемъ въ це́ркви на возду́сѣ за христіа́ны Бо́гу моля́щуюся, позна́ша, я́ко Ма́терь еси́ возне́сшагося на не́бо Христа́ Бо́га на́шего, и, припа́дше на зе́млю, ра́достно покланя́хуся всеблаго́му покро́ву Твоему́, зову́ще: Аллилу́ія.
Seeing Thee, O Holy Andrew with Epiphanius in the church on high for Christians praying to God, Bothe knew that Thou art the Mother who hath uplifted Christ our God into heaven, and falling to the earth, joyfully we bowed down before Thy all-blessed covering, crying: Alleluia.

O Theotokos, Venerable Maiden, understanding not foolishness hast Thou, in the defense of the Orthodox people; therefore, our enemies do not know, how mighty is the prayer of God's Mother. We, however, knowing well the good from Thy all-powerful intercession, with compunction thus call upon Thee:

Радувај се, и заради пеколот треперат офкањата и духовите на злобата;

Rejoice, Thou Whose sake the gates of Raia are opened to all us.

The might of the High One overshadoweth with faith and reverence those who flee to Thy most holy covering: for by one point alone was given to all, that every petition of Thee be fulfilled, through the Venerable and Most Pure Mother of God. Therefore, every age of the faithful glorifieth Thee and Thy Son, crying out: Alleluia.

O Lady, in the tempest of many afflictions Thou dost help us; standing before the Lord's altar with uplifted hands and praying that the Lord, the King of glory, might behold our unworthy prayer and hear the supplications of those calling upon Thy holy name: for unto Thee also is their cry directed to Thy Son. Alleluia.

Hearken, O Lord God Jesus Christ, when Thou didst pray and command the sun to stand until Thou hadst avenged Thine enemies. And now doth the Lord Jesus, Thy chosen Palace of the Holy Spirit, hear Thy prayers even now. Therefore also we, sinners, in hope of Thy protection, boldly cry Thee: O Mother of God!

Rejoice, O pastors of the Church, for thou bringest vigilance and enlightenment.

Богови́децъ Моисе́й въ ополче́ніи иногда́ на Амали́ка, егда́ ру́цѣ воздвиза́ше, Изра́иль одолѣва́ше, егда́ же ру́цѣ низпуща́ше, тогда́ Амали́къ побѣжда́ше, поддержа́щими же его́ укрѣпле́нъ, побѣди́ врага́. O Theotokos, Moses in the battle against Amalek sometimes raised his rod and Israel prevailed; but when he lowered it, Amalek prevailed. With those supporting him, he was strengthened, and he overcame the enemy. Thou, however, O Mother of God, raising Thy hands in prayer, though unsupported, ever overcome the Christian enemies, and art an unvanquished shield to us, crying out: Alleluia.

Having seen Thee, O Lord, in the assembly of saints on high in the Church of Vlaherne, with hands uplifted in prayer to Thy Son and God, joyfully together with archangels and angels Thou didst sing a hymn of thanksgiving. We also, strengthened by Thine hand more firmly than Moses' rods, humbly cry out:

Rejoice, O thou that dost strive in fasting and silent, pure converse.

Lord, Most Patient and All-Seeing, show the depth of Thy human-loving kindness, which is beyond measure. Thou didst choose for Thee alone one Mother, and made Her an unassailable protection for mankind: that even if any of them be found worthy of judgment by the divine judgment, through Thy power He may be preserved under Thy covering for repentance; cry out: Alleluia.

O Most Pure Virgin, Mother of the Heavens' Powers, Queen of our City and Country, All-Mighty Intercessor! Receive this hymn of praise and thanksgiving from us, Thy unworthy servants, and lift up our prayers to the throne of God, Thy Son, that He may be merciful towards our unrighteousnesses and bestow His grace upon those who reverently and with faith worship Thy most holy name and the wondrous image of Thee. For we are not worthy to receive mercy from Him, save Thou hast moved His heart toward us, O Mistress, for all things are possible to Thee from Him. For this reason, we flee to Thee as to our certain and speedy Intercessor: hear our prayers, O Mistress, overshadow us with Thy almighty protection, and beseech God, Thy Son, our Shepherd—zeal and watchfulness over souls; governors—wisdom and strength; judges—righteousness and uprightness; teachers—understanding and humility; spouses—love and harmony; children—obedience; those wronged—patience; those doing wrong—awe of God; the sorrowful—goodwill; the joyful—restraint; to all of us—spirit of reason and piety, spirit of mercy and meekness, spirit of purity and righteousness. Have mercy on Thy feeble people, O Most Pure Mistress: gather the scattered, guide those astray onto the right path, support the aged, instruct the young, nurture the virgins, and look upon all of us with the gaze of Thy merciful intercession, raise us from the depths of sin, and enlighten our hearts to see the vision of salvation. Be merciful to us here and there, in the land of our earthly sojourn and at the fearful judgment of Thy Son. Having departed this life in faith and repentance, our fathers and brothers may live with Thee forever in eternal life with the angels and all the saints. For Thou art, O Mistress, glory of the heavens and hope of the earth; Thou art our Hope and Intercessor for all who come to Thee with faith. To Thee we pray, and to Thee as All-Powerful Helper, ourselves and one another, and all life of ours now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

O Holy Theotokos, my Queen, my Hope, my Most Pure, my Helper in times of distress and tribulation, my Protector against the wicked, my Sustainer in adversity, behold my trouble, behold my sorrow: from everywhere I am beset by temptation, and there is none to intercede for me. Thou, O Thou Who art the Intercessor, help me, being weak, nourish me, being a stranger, guide me, being lost, heal me and save me, being without hope. For I have no other help, nor any other advocate or comfort, except Thee, O Mother of all who suffer and are burdened! Behold now upon me, the sinful one and one in wickedness, and cover me with Thy Most Holy Veil, that I may be delivered from evil, which has overtaken me, and praise Thee always. Amen.
