Before the Word was born of the Father ever since the ages, and was made flesh from the Virgin's womb, come let us adore: for having endured, He was delivered up to death by burial, as He willed Himself; and He rose from the dead, and saved me, a wanderer in sin.

Christ our God hath saved us, who hath been crucified upon the Cross, to our salvation, being nailed thereon; and He hath on the third day raised up life from the dead: let us kneel before Him in thanksgiving for the three days' resurrection.

From the Archangel we receive the hymn of the Resurrection of Christ: for He is our Saviour and Deliverer of souls, and in greater glory and power comes again to judge the world, which He created.

Thee who wast laid in the tomb and didst rise again, O Angel proclaimed to the women, saying: Come, see where He lay; for He is risen, as He said, being all-powerful. Therefore we bow down before Thee, the only Immortal: Life-giving Jesus, have mercy on us.

By Thy holy Passion, Thou hast abolished the curse of the ancient wood, by Thy deathly burial Thou hast destroyed the power of death: by Thy resurrection Thou hast enlightened the human race. Therefore we cry to Thee: O Merciful Jesus Christ, Theotokos, glory be to Thee.

Verily Thou hast opened to us, O Lord, the doors of death by fear, and having seen the gates of hell, we have feared: for Thou hast smitten the iron gates, and Thou hast melted the brass; and Thou hast led us out from darkness and the chambers of death, and Thou hast rent asunder our bonds.

Savior's hymn we sing, from our lips: Come unto us into Thy house, saying: Upon the ancient wood Thou wast crucified, and from the dead Thou didst raise, and from the depths of the bowels, Opurify our sins.

Glory, and now, O Theotokos:

Prayed the seventh canonical, the grace having come: for as the cup when poured forth doth not overflow, so didst Thou bring forth two and two, and remained two. Instead of the pillar of fire, the justly shining sun: instead of Moses, Jesus Christ, the salvation of our souls.
