Glory to Thee, O Lord, glory to Thee!

The bottomless pit of sins hath overborne me, and my spirit is vanished away: but stretch Thou forth Thy high might, O Master, as a rock to uphold me.

Infinite depth of mercy and goodness hath encompassed me, O Merciful: having taken flesh, Thou didst become a servant in the likeness, and by Thy obedience Thou didst redeem us, glorifying Thee with Thee.

Death, O Death, wherein thou hast been slain; though thou hast been slain, O Death, thou hast the victory: thy conquest of the Resurrection of Thee are the images of Thy glorious appearing, and Thy mighty conquest shall subdue thee.

O Theotokos,

Praying, where Thou alone art Creator and made man, surpassing all that goeth forth from thee, with thy prayer for sinful thy servants, and as Victor, pray thou.

And He

Irimos: Selēninya.

By dawn thou hast tried them, O Incarnate One, from the heavens and the spirits; by thy stripes we were healed, O Lover of Mankind. Therefore I cry to Thee: Exalt me from this life, O Lover of Man.

Verily thou, O Lord, dost open the gates with thy fear; but the vessels of thy enemies are taken away: therefore those women met thee, receiving joy instead of sorrow.

And Œn.

This hymn of that same one.

It is imagined concerning us, O God, from the immortal powers, and by a form inseparable in likeness having become a thing of nothingness, not to have been weakened by the humanity.

Oftentimes sins, and storms of passions overwhelming me, deliver me: for thou art a refuge, and bottomless fountain of wonders, unto those who come to thee with faith.
