Infinite depth of mercy and goodness hath encompassed me, O Merciful One: having taken flesh, thou didst abide in servitude for the sake of the image, and by thyself glorified with a hymn.

Death, O Death, is slain; the grave hath spoiled thee: thou hast been cast forth in pieces, O death. Thy sting, O death, is abolished; and the victory, O death, is no more. For Christ hath trampled thee down under his feet, O death, being raised from the dead. And we beheld His resurrection, O Soul of Souls, Life of the lifeless, Image of the Father's glory. Therefore have we also our boast in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom Death is slain, and the living ones are made alive from the dead.

O Theotokos, glory be to Thee.

Pray, O Creator and Redeemer of man, who hast come forth more brightly than the morning, that for thy supplication, O Lord, thy sinful servants, and as Victor, thou wilt intercede.

And He

Irimos: Selēninya.

By dawn thou hast tried them, O Incarnate One, from the fallen angels, and with thy stripes didst raise up to life those who were dead. Therefore dost thou call: Exalt me from this earthly life, O Lover of Mankind.

Thou dost open the gates of hell with fear, and the vessels of thy enemies thou dost exalt: therefore those women met thee, receiving joy instead of sorrow.

And.

This hymn to Thee

It is imagined concerning us, O God, that from immortal things, having the unseparable image of the Fainthearted One by becoming a thing of nought, man did not yield to the deceit.

O Lord, the depth of sins, and storms of passions having overcome me, deliver me: for thou art a refuge, and depth of wonders, to them that draw nigh to thee with faith.
