Glory to Thee, O Lord, glory to Thee! Glory to Thy Kingdom, glory to Thy Power, glory to Thy Wisdom, glory to Thy Strength, glory to Thy Riches, glory to Thy Honour, glory to Thee who quickenest the dead by Thy Will. Amen.

Pray for us, O Lord, and for all men Thou art the Merciful: by Thee, Master, in the unseen presence of Thy holy Council, bringeth Thou them that are led captive from the night of ignorance.

As the cedars are glorified, so hath the shaking of thy will broken them by thy power: For thou hast willed it upon the cypress and upon the pine and upon the cedar, that they might be exalted in building.

In the abyss of Hades thou hast laid the lifeless dead: but by thy name forgotten dead, sleeping in the tombs, thou didst awaken with thee and raised them.

O Theotokos,

Pray to Thee, O Lord, and to Thy Holy One, both of them reading, for peace to be given to those who hope in Thee, deliverance to the captives, from the obstinate resistances.

Irimos:

Thou, O Lord, hast created man in Thine own image and after Thy likeness;
and Thou didst place him upon this earth as a stranger and a sojourner.
For the time is short, and life is but vanity and emptiness,
and all our ways are darkness; yet we know not whither we go.

Thou art the Light of the eyes, O Lord, and in Thee doth man see;
Thou art the Life, O Lord, and to Thee doth man live.
Thou art the Way, O Lord, and by Thee doth man walk;
Thou art the Truth, O Lord, and in Thee doth man find truth.

But we have erred from Thee, O Lord, and our ways are not Thy ways,
and we have gone astray as a wandering sheep.
We have wandered far from Thee, O Lord, and Thou hast sought us with Thy right hand;
Thou hast called us to Thee with the voice of mercy.

Therefore, O Lord, turn not away Thine anger from us,
but have mercy upon us, for we are but dust and ashes.
Thou art our Rock and our Redeemer, O Lord, and in Thee doth our hope rest.

Adam hath tasted the deadly fruit of the first fall; but by this sin is consumed, and the second falls.

By the nature of man he was passioned and mortal, but He, who is without passion in divine immortality, the Undeathful and Incorporeal Jesus Christ, from the depths of hell raised Thee.

And.

Airmos toyeje.

Bless ye the sweet savour of the drops with the essence upon the earth: For the Son hath given himself, even he that was before the world, to be incarnate of God our Father.

By life and flesh of mine, Thy light hath shone, and the bitterness of sin hath been broken: in the end from without seed Thou wast incarnate from on high.
