Irimos:

By life alone we are saved,
And by death we perish:
For life is from Thee, O Lord,
And death Thou hast made for our condemnation.

Through the intercessions of Thy holy ones,
Have mercy on us, O Lord.

Pray for us, O Lord, and for all men Thou art the Merciful Theotokos: by Thee, Master, in the presence of Thy holy Prince, O Thine own, Thou didst bring them into being from the unseen night.

As the cedars are glorified,
so hath the wind of Thy will shattered the proud tongues.
For Thou hast willed it on the cypress and on the pine, and on the cedar also, that we might be exalted in Thy planks.

In the grave, O Lord, Thou hast laid the lifeless dead: but by Thy Name Thou hast awakened the dead, who sleep in their graves, and didst raise them with Thee.

O Theotokos,

Pray to Thee, O Lord, and to Thy Holy One, O Dwellers in Heaven, for those who seek peace, granting them peace, for the captives deliverance, from the obstinate oppositions.

And He

Irimos:

By life alone we are saved,
And by death destroyed;
For death came to us through a stranger,
But by One of our own kindred.

Through Him who was born of the Virgin,
Let us be saved, O ye faithful!

Adam hath comprehended the fall, tasting the deadly fruit first: but sin consumeth, causing the second death.

By the nature of man he was passions-bearing and mortal, but He, who is without passions in divine immortality, having been made dead by the infernal powers, raised Himself from the depths of hell.

And Thee.

Airmos tojzhe.

Bless with the sweet dew of joy those who dwell upon the earth: For as a Son hath given Himself, even He Who was before the ages, to be incarnate of the Virgin.

By life and by my flesh Thou hast enlightened me, and Thou hast broken the drudgery of sin: in the end Thou didst descend without seed from on high.
