І҆рмо́съ:
Irimos:
O Lord, our God, Thou art the Life, through Whom we have received life; and by Thee we are continually sustained in life. For Thou art ever present with us, and by Thy power we live.
Thou hast given us understanding, that we may know Thee, O Lord, and understand Thine unsearchable judgments. But our knowledge is but a delusion, for it is not according to Thy will; and our wisdom is vain, for it leads us astray from the path of righteousness.
Therefore, O Lord, have mercy upon us, and grant us true understanding, that we may know Thee as Thou art, and walk in the way of Thy commandments. For Thou art the Light of our eyes, and without Thee we see nothing; and Thou art the Life of our soul, and without Thee we live not.
Thou art our Rock and our Refuge, O Lord, and in Thee do we trust. But our hearts are strangers to Thee, for they are full of sin and corruption. Therefore, have mercy upon us, O Lord, and cleanse our hearts from all uncleanness, that we may be pure before Thee.
Thou art the Glory of Thy creation, O Lord, and in Thee do we find our joy and our rest. But our lives are but a fleeting shadow, for they pass away like smoke. Therefore, O Lord, have mercy upon us, and grant us the Life Eternal, that we may dwell with Thee in Thy Kingdom forever.
For Thou art the Hope of all the faithful, and in Thee do we place our trust. And though we are but dust and ashes, yet Thou hast called us to be Thy children, and given us the gift of salvation through Thy Son, Jesus Christ Our Lord.
Therefore, O Lord, have mercy upon us, and grant us the grace of true repentance, that we may turn from our sins and walk in the way of righteousness. For Thou art the God of Mercy, and Thou dost forgive all who call upon Thee with a sincere heart.
And though we are unworthy to lift up even the edge of Thy garment, yet Thou hast deigned to come down to us in the flesh, and to dwell among us as our Brother and Redeemer. Therefore, O Lord, have mercy upon us, and grant us the gift of Thy Holy Spirit, that we may be filled with Thy grace and power.
For Thou art the King of kings, and Lord of lords, and in Thee do we find our joy and our rest.
Amen.
Pray for us, O Lord, and for all men Thou art the Merciful Theotokos: by Thee, Master, in the presence of Thy holy Prince, O Father Thine, was brought to pass their coming forth from the unknown night.
As the cedars are glad,
So hath the shaking of thy will been broken for us by thy Master:
For thou didst will it on the cypresses, and on the pines, and on the cedars, that they should be exalted in building.
In the abyss of Hades Thou hast laid the lifeless dead: but by Thy Name Thou hast awakened the dead, who sleep in their graves, and didst raise them with Thee.

Pray to Thee, O Lord, and to Thy Holy One, O Dwellers in Heaven, for those who seek peace, granting them peace, deliverance from the bonds of adversaries.

Irimos:
O Lord, our God, Thou hast created man in Thine own image and after Thine own likeness; and though he hath fallen into sin, yet Thou dost not cease to love him with an everlasting love. For though he hath sinned against Thee, Thou dost not cast him away from Thy sight, but dost draw him back with tender mercy and with compunction of heart.

Adam hath tasted the fall, partaking of the deadly fruit first: but sin doth consume, bringing about the second death.

By nature man is passionate and mortal, but He who is without passion in the divine immortality, the Undeathful One Who was made deathly, from the depths of hell raised Himself.
