Irimos:

Thou, O Lord, hast created man in Thine own image and after Thine own likeness;
and Thou didst place him upon this earth as a stranger and a sojourner.
For the time is short, and life is but vanity; for suddenly shall it pass away,
and we shall stand before Thee to give an account of our deeds.

Thou hast given us the gift of repentance, O Lord, that we might return to Thee;
but we have turned aside into sin and transgression.
Therefore, in compunction of heart, we cry unto Thee:
Have mercy upon us, O Lord, according to Thy great mercy.

Pray for us, O Lord, and for all men Thou art the Merciful Theotokos: by Thee, Master, in the presence of Thy holy Prince, O Thy Father, Thou didst bring the morning unawares.

As the cedars are glorified,
so hath the shaking of thy will crushed them by thy power:
For thou hast willed it upon the cypress and upon the pine and upon the cedar,
that in planks we might be exalted.

In the grave, O Lord, Thou hast laid the lifeless dead: but by Thy Name Thou hast awakened the dead, who sleep in their graves, and didst raise them with Thee.

O Theotokos,

Pray to Thyself and the Lord, O Dwellers in this house, who read two by two, that peace may be given unto us who hope for peace, deliverance from those who resist our steadfastness.

And He

Glory to Thee, O Lord, glory to Thee! Glory to Thy Kingdom, glory to Thy Power, glory to Thy Wisdom, glory to Thy Strength, glory to Thy Riches, glory to Thy Honour, glory to Thee who quickenest the dead by Thy Will. Amen.

Adam hath tasted the deadly fruit first, overgiving himself to hell: but by this sin is consumed, and the second is ravening.

By the nature of man he was subject to passion and mortality, even as He Who is without passion by the ineffable divine glory, O Deathless One, O Incorporeal One, raised Thee from the depths of hell.

And Thee.

Airmos toyeje.

Bless with the sweet savour of thy mercy the dust of the earth: For thou, O Son, didst become incarnate before the ages, and wast manifested to the world as our God.

By life and flesh of mine, light hast Thou enlightened, and the bitterness of sin hast Thou broken: in the end from without seed didst Thou beget the High One.
