On the Lord's Day at Matins
By the appointed sticheron, the deacon rises, and the tone is III.
Blessed Joseph, having taken thy holy body from the tree by thy own will, with a veil of tenderness thou didst wrap it, and with blessings thou didst cover it anew in the grave: but for three days thou wast laid in the Lord's arms, offering a great mercy to the world.
Glory:
The angel, appearing before the women at the tomb, cried out to them: "Myrrh is fitting for the dead, but Christ, having been anointed, has risen." Therefore, cry out: "Christ is risen, giving to all life."
And now, O Theotokos:
Blessed be Thee, O Lady, hymning Thee: by Thy Cross Thou didst prostrate the enemy, and death was slain; having risen from the dead, we have partaken of life eternal: therefore with thanksgiving we glorify the mighty power of our God and King, and of Him Who is one in His multitude.
According to the sedalny stichoslov, the tone is third.
Thou didst not suffer the stone of the tomb to obstruct Thee, but didst raise up the stone of faith to a Resurrection for all, O Lord; and unto Thee be glory.
Glory:
And now, O Theotokos:
Blessed art thou, O Theotokos, having been incarnate by thyself and delivered man from the bonds of death, Adam was restored, the curse was broken, Eve was set free, death was destroyed, and we have waited for it. Therefore, let us with thanksgiving cry: Blessed is Jesus Christ, the Willing One; glory to thee.
By undefiled lips, voice, al.
Walking forth into the tomb of the woman, wherein Thou wast anointed, behold, angels were seen within the tomb, and they were struck with fear: for a voice they heard from them, as though the Lord had risen, granting great mercy to the world.
In heaven, O Soul, I open the doors of my heart, to Thee I cry, save me with Thy holy anointing.
Have mercy on us who have sinned against Thee many times, at all hours, O My God, and grant that the image may be seen by Thee before the end.
Glory, and now:
O Lord God, who hast authority to reign, sanctify, and strive for the creation: for Thou art, One Who is both Life and Word.
Antiphon: Verily, verily, I say unto thee, saith the Lord, that in whatsoever realm thou goest, there shall be no peace for thee, unless thy soul resteth in compunction and tenderness of heart. For suddenly shalt thou be caught away; as a stranger shalt thou stand before thy Creator, and as a spectacle shalt thou be made manifest to all.
А҆́ще не гдⷭ҇ь бы бы́лъ въ на́съ, кто̀ дово́ленъ цѣ́лъ сохране́нъ бы́ти ѿ врага̀, кꙋ́пнѡ и҆ человѣкоꙋбі́йцы;
If the Lord had not been in us, who would have been able to be whole and preserved from the enemy, the murderer of mankind?
With thy lips do not deliver me up to death, O my Lord: for they threaten me with the likeness of lions in my very presence.
Glory, and now:
To the Godhead and to the Holy Spirit: for all things are created, because Thou, O Lord, by Thy power keepest them in Thy Kingdom, through Thy Son.
Antiphon: Glory to Thee, O Lord, glory to Thee.
Trusteth in the Lord, and shall be made like a mountain of holiness: as neither are moved by adversary's devices.
In the lawlessness of my own hands may I not stretch forth, O God-blessed and living: for God Christ hath not left His rod upon His own staff.
Glory, and now:
By the Spirit is wrought every wisdom: by Thy mercy, O Lord, are the apostles crowned with glory; and the martyrs in their sufferings are adorned; and the prophets behold.
