In the Lord's Day at Matins
By the sticheron of the sedalitai, the Gloria in excelsis is sung, glas 3:
Blessed Joseph, having taken thy holy body from the tree by thyself, with a cloth covered it up, and with blessings closed it in the grave: but for three days thou didst rise again, giving to the world great mercy.
Glory:
And now, O Theotokos:
Blessed be Thee, O Theotokos, we singing Thee: by Thy power death was vanquished, and the grave was made empty; rising again, we have received life eternal: for Thou hast brought us to the ancient joy of Paradise. Therefore, thanking Thee, we glorify Thee as the mighty Power of our God and Only Begotten.
According to the sedalny stichoslov, the tone is third.
Thou didst not suffer the stone of the sepulchre to obstruct Thee, but didst raise up the stone of faith to a resurrection for all, O Lord; and unto Thee be glory.
Glory:
And now, O Theotokos:
Blessed art Thou, O Theotokos, doubly, for having become incarnate and by Thy virginity hath delivered man from the bonds of death, Adam hath arisen, the curse is broken, Eve is set free, death is destroyed, and we have hoped. Therefore, with these words we cry: Blessed is Jesus Christ, God's well-willed One, to Thee be glory.
By those undefiled lips, voice, al.
Walking forth from the tomb of the woman who anointed Thy Body, O Lord, where Thou wast to be anointed, they saw angels in the tomb, and were struck with fear: for a voice heard from them, saying, "Because He is risen, He giveth great mercy."
Stepénnaya. Ántiphón:
In heaven, O Soul, I open the doors of my heart, to Thee I cry, save me, save me by Thy holy anointing.
Mercy, O Lord, Thou Who art gracious unto sinners many, at every hour, by Thy Name, and grant that the image may be seen before the end by Thee.
Glory, and now:
O Soul/Spirit of God, worthy to reign, sanctify, and strive the creation: for God is One in essence and in word.
Antiphon v.:
А҆́ще не гдⷭ҇ь бы бы́лъ въ на́съ, кто̀ дово́ленъ цѣ́лъ сохране́нъ бы́ти ѿ врага̀, кꙋ́пнѡ и҆ человѣкоꙋбі́йцы;
If the Lord had not been in us, who would have been able to be whole and preserved from the enemy, the murderer of men;
Let not their teeth assail my soul, O Lord, Thy servant: for they provoke me in the likeness of lions.
Glory, and now:
To the Lord the Spirit and the glory: for all things are created, because God by His power keepeth them in the Kingdom, with His Word.
Trusteth in the Lord, and shall be made like a mountain of the holy ones: even as they that are moved not by adversaries.
In the unrighteousness of my own hands let not the God-blessed living One stretch them out: for God Christ hath not left His rod upon His own priestly staff.
Glory, and now:
By the Spirit is pondered every wisdom: by all mercy the apostles, and by suffering the martyrs are crowned, and the prophets see.
