By the appointed sticheron of the vigil, the first tone:
Thy grave, O Warrior watchful, O dead ones by the overshadowing of the greater Angel were kept, proclaiming to the women the Resurrection. We glorify Thee, O Thou who art sought after in need; we fall down before Thee, O Risen from the grave, and with Thee to our only God.
To the Crucifixion Thou wast fastened by a generous will, laid in the grave having been found dead, O life-giver; Thou didst hold fast with Thy mighty death-struggle: for at Thee the gates of hell trembled, Thou didst raise up from the age of the departed, as alone the lover of mankind.
O Theotokos,
Mother of Thee, our God, truly and in the Mystery of Thy Incarnation, and by the great mercy, whereunto thou hast hastened, and whosoever fleeeth to thy blessedness: for to thee, O sinners, I beseech thee as my advocate, in perils I have found deliverance, alone pure in all holiness.
According to the stichoreions, the sedal, the tone is a:"#."
Veneration: Stones Sealed:
Widows came to the tomb, and an angelic vision appeared with trembling: the tomb was life, a wonder to behold: for this reason, having gone forth with a teaching of resurrection: hell freed those in bonds, for it is strong and mighty, and having weakened all, lifted them up, casting fear into pieces with its sword.
On the Cross Thou hast pierced the life of all, and in the dead Thou hast been made deathless, O Life-giving Lord; on the third day Thou didst rise for our salvation, raising Adam from corruption. For this we cry to Thee with might, O Giver of Life: glory to Thy resurrection, glory to Thy descent, only Lover of mankind.
Theotokos. It is fitting: Thy grave hath saved us.
O Lord, read, O Reader of the hearts of the faithful, raise up now those fallen into the deep pit of fierce ancestral sin, and excessive griefs; for thou art the repentance and salvation of the guilty, the strength and intercession, and thou savest thy servants.
Pakóye, glás á:
Repentance in the realm of robbery brings joy, O myressor, proclaim thou gladness, for having risen, Thou O Christ, hast given the world great mercy.
Antiphon α
Glory to Thee, O Lord, glory to Thee.
When sorrow afflicteth me, hear my sickness, O Lord; to Thee do I cry.
The desert-dweller hath an unceasing holy desire, bringing peace to the sensible apart from the senseless.
Glory and praise to Thee, O Spirit, as is meet, and to Thy Mother also, today, for we shall sing to the One Ruler.
Antiphon v.:
Upon thy mountains, O Lord, thou hast raised me up, enlightening thee with good works, that I may praise thee.
By Thy right hand, receive my words, preserve me, keep me, that the fire of sin may not fall upon me.
By Thee, O Spirit, every creature is renewed, flowing again to the first: for Thou art equal in power and Word.
O Lord, having said to me, "Enter into the courts of My people," my spirit rejoiced, and my heart was glad.
In the house of the double doors great fear: there in the throne placed, all nations and tongues are judged.
Glory, honor, worship, and might to the Spirit, even as to the Father is meet, and ever fitting to offer: for there is none other Substance, but Faces.
