On the hymns of praise, psalms are sung, voice 1.

Come ye all, understand the fearful mysteries of power: for Jesus Christ our Saviour, by Whom at the beginning was the Word, was crucified for us of His own will, and was buried, and rose again from the dead, whereby He conquered every creature: to Him we shall bow.

Rejoicing hath been fulfilled in all by the Resurrection and temptation received: for Mary Magdalene came to the tomb, and found an angel sitting upon the stone, shining with raiment and saying: What seek ye among the dead? He is not here, but is risen, as he spake, foretelling it beforehand in Galilee.

In Thy light, O Master, we shall behold the light of loving-kindness: Thou hast risen from the dead, and hast given to the race of mankind the gift of salvation; that all Thy creatures may glorify Thee alone, guiltless One, have mercy on us.

Aassage of the morning psalm, with tears, the woman brought unto Thee, O Blessed One, bearing precious spices, and having reached Thy holy grave, they sought to anoint Thy pure body. And the angel sitteth upon the stone, proclaiming: What seek ye among the dead? For death hath been overcome by God, He hath given unto all a great mercy.

Shining thou, O Angel, upon thy life-creating grave, to the myrrh-bearers thou spakest: Having exhausted the graves, O Saviour, thou hast delivered from hell those in bonds; and on the third day thou didst rise again, for thou art one God and all-powerful.

In the tomb sought she, having come on the Lord's Day, Mary Magdalene, and finding not, wept with a loud cry: "Woe is me, my Saviour! Robbed was the King of all treasures." The angel of life then within the tomb cried out: "Why weepest thou, woman? Weep not; for if thou hast taken away from the tomb Him whom thou soughtest, know not where He laid Him." Turning herself around, seeing her, she cried out: "My Lord and my God! Glory to Thee."

The Jews placed life in the grave, but the robber from afar with his tongue enjoyed delight, crying and saying: "With thee will I go to the grave; with thee will I lie down at night; thy tabernacle is my heritage for ever." For thus it is He, Jesus Christ, our Holy One, having great mercy.
