O Lord, have mercy on us, for in thee we have trusted: let not thine anger be kindled against us, nor count us guilty because of our transgressions; but look upon us now with a favorable eye and deliver us from our enemies: for thou art God our King, and we thy people, all our works being by thy hand, and in thee do we call.

All-Ruling Lord, Word of God, Most Perfect Son, Jesus Christ, many prayers for me have never ceased to beseech Thee, but ever abide in me. And Thou, Good Shepherd of Thy flocks, deliver me not into the hands of the slanderers and do not abandon me to the desire of Satan, who dwells within me with sevenfold wickedness. For Thou art invoked by the Lord, holy Jesus Christ, sleeping preserved by an unquenchable light in Thy holy home, wherewith Thou didst bestow upon me Thy teaching. Grant also to me, unworthy servant of Thine, rest on my bed: enlighten my soul with Thy light, love my spirit according to Thine own, heart with the words of Thy mouth, body with Thy passionless strength: keep my thoughts by Thy humility, and raise me up in time like unto Thy glorious praise. O Lord, heavenly King, Comforter, O Spirit of Truth, Thou hast humbled Thyself, and hast pitied me, the sinful servant of Thine, and hast forgiven me my unworthiness, and hast pardoned all my transgressions, for which I have sinned today, both as a man and more than a man, even as an unclean beast: both voluntary sins and involuntary, known and unknown, from youth to old age, and from this day back to the day of my conception. Even if by name or thought I have blasphemed Thee, or spoken evil against Thee in any way; if I have injured anyone with my wrath, or slandered anyone with my anger, or saddened anyone: if I have been angry for anything, or lied, or worked on the sabbath, or despised the poor who came to me, or grieved my brother, or judged my sister, or quarreled, or became proud, or was envious; if I have prayed with my lips but not with my heart, or had evil thoughts in prayer: if I have been corrupt in thought, or sinned by word, or sinned by deed, or laughed without cause: if I have had evil thoughts, or seen good and envied it, and thereby was tempted; if I have spoken improperly, or mocked the sin of my brother, for which my sins are countless: even if I did not pray with all my heart, or did some other evil thing, I do not remember. Forgive me, O Creator, Thou Who art worthy of mercy, and blot out my transgressions: leave me not, forgive me, for Thou art good and lover of mankind: that I may lie down in peace, sleep and rest, the penitent, sinful and wearied one: and I will prostrate myself, and praise Thee, and glorify Thy most holy Name, with the Father and the Son, now and ever and to the ages of ages. O Lord, what hast Thou brought, and what wilt Thou give, O bountiful immortal King, most loving of men; for having been idle in Thy longing, and having wrought naught good, Thou hast led me to the end of this day, turning and saving my soul. Be merciful to me, O sinful and naked one, and uncover all thy works: raise up my fallen soul, defiled by countless sins, and let all my evil thoughts be made visible in this life. Forgive my transgressions, Thou alone without sin; for I have sinned today knowingly and unknowingly, by word, deed, thought, and all my senses. Thou Thyself coverest me from every opposing resistance with Thine ineffable love, power, and mercy. Cleanse, O Lord, the multitude of my sins. Willingly grant me deliverance from the nets of the crafty one; save my sinful soul, and enlighten me with the light of Thy countenance when Thou comest in glory: and let not my sleep be unseasonable now, nor with thoughts; and keep the thought of Thy servant undefiled, and all the works of Satan from me. Enlighten our understanding hearts, that we may not fall into death. And send us an angel of peace, guardian and instructor of soul and body, that he may deliver me from my enemies: and when I arise with Thee, let me bring Thee thanksgiving prayers. O Lord, hear Thy sinful and righteous servant, by will and conscience; give me to learn by Thy words, and let the evil spirits be driven far from me by Thy angels: and bless Thou my standing, and glorify, praise, and magnify the most holy Theotokos, who gave us a defense against our sins, and receive this praying one for us: for we well know that Thy lovingkindness doth not cease, and I pray unceasingly. By this defense, and by this sign of thy mercy, and all Thy saints' prayers, keep Thou my holy soul with Thee our: for Thou art, and art glorified to the ages. Amen.
