Mercy Thee, Lord, mercy Thee; for by wisdom unknowing, we bring this prayer to Thee, Thy Master: mercy Thee.

Glory: The reading of thy triumph, O Lord, the Church doth show, and the saints with angels rejoice. Thou through prayers dost keep Thy people in peace, that we may sing to thee: Alleluia.

And now: Many afflictions have overtaken me, O Theotokos; grievously: to thee I flee, beseeching thy succor. Visit my feeble soul and pray for me to thine own and our God, that He may grant me deliverance, since I have endured much, alone blessed.

And also, Lord, have mercy, Thee.

And having bowed down with a humble heart, Ephraim powerfully and with reverence.

O Lord and Master of my life, do not give me over to the spirit of vain glory, compunction of heart, beginning and boastfulness. Amen. Bowing down.

Spirit of wholehearted obedience, spirit of humility, patience and love, grant this Thy servant. Bow.

To Thee, O King, grant me to see my own transgressions, and not to condemn my brother: for Thou art blessed unto the ages of ages. Amen. Bow.

Thus we pray this prayer with attention:

O Most Merciful and All-Compassionate Lord,
And Giver of every good and perfect gift, O Lover of mankind,
And Thou, O All-holy King of all the ages, Master and Lady,

I, this poor and wretched one, dare to call upon Thee,
Whose power governs all created things.

With fear they tremble: From the lowest earth, unutterable was thy wondrous look of love, O Lover of mankind, which thou didst behold with a gaze of affection upon thine beloved Son. From the unfathomable depths of thy most holy glory, with an inextinguishable flame thou didst kindle him, that men might be made one with the angels.

Let One alone construct. O Lord, God, accept my humble confession: a sinner and a stranger, I call upon the unapproachable light, enfolded by the weakness of flesh, bearing thy word with trembling lips, and by death have freed the soul of thy servants from the bondage of the enemy, that we may all be saved.

All ye who have taken up the work of thy servant by faith, shalt thou be made partakers of thy glory, from which the deceitful adversary hath fallen. Forgive me, O covered with thoughts of sin, raise me up with my pierced heart by the thorn of laziness and the captivity of unyielding will: strengthen my heart in thee.

Grief mētǐ, O Heart of my f̀lowsers, let tears stream forth, and at the end of my d̀ušȋ́s going, make me blameless as thy Will, guiding me with all my heart to Thee. Remember, O Lord, my parents' mercies, and all my near ones, and brethren, and friends.

And my neighbors, and all righteous Christians, save me by your prayers: and receive with honor the body and blood which I spoke of to thee for myself, and be not loath to hear my prayer, because I am a constant and loving man, and thou art of unbeginning.

Glory be to Thee, with Thy Only-Begotten Son, and with Thy Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
