Angels' powers on thy grave,
And watching, death-stricken:
And standing there, O Mary,
Seeking the body of Thee.
Thou didst enslave the abyss,
Not being tempted by it:
Met with Thee, O Giver of life.
Rise from the dead, O Mary, glory to Thee.
Glory to Thee, O God, and to Thy Christ, and to Thy Holy Spirit, both now and ever and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
Blessed be thou, O Mother of God:
Thou camest into the world freely willed,
Wearing a crown, to seek Adam,
Saying unto the angels: Rejoice with me,
For I have found what was lost,
O Wisdom, fashioning all things, glory to thee.
Therefore, by the stichoslovium we chant and serve God, and according to their rank they sing: and the fiftieth psalm.
