On the Sabbath evening, at the Little Evening, to the Lord I cried out, with the Resurrection stichera of the semiglottal sounds.

By Thy holy Word, O Lord, Thou hast humbled the devil, and by Thy Resurrection Thou hast dulled his deadly sting, and hast delivered us from the gates of death: we glorify Thee, only-begotten.

Risen Thou, giving life to the human race:
Forasmuch as Thou dost lead in prayer:
Thou hast terrified these kings of hell,
And hast taken up the gates of weeping.
For entering into the King's glory,
Hast spoken unto them that are in bonds,
Go forth: and them that are in darkness, let be opened.

Blessed Wonder, co-worker of the invisible, having suffered in the flesh for man's love, hast risen immortal. Come, let us worship Thy grace: for by the blessedness of Thy compunction Thou didst deliver Thyself from spiritual deception, and being skilled in the three Persons of One God to sing.

Glory, and honour, now, to the Theotokos:

Most humble and pure Virgin, most preeminent among cherubim: He who desired to be co-heir of all things, entered into them unutterably. O strange and glorious mysteries! Who shall not wonder at Him Who is made known in these things, for man becomes a fount of transformation within him; and he passes through the double gates, and diminishment does not cease in him, as the prophecy says: "Man shall not pass when this happens, but only God and His Christ, who have great mercy."
