On the Sabbath evening, at the Little Evening, to the Lord I cried out, with the Resurrection stichera of the Semiglottal.
By Thy holy Word, O Lord, Thou hast confounded the devil, and by Thy Resurrection Thou hast dulled the sinful sting, and hast raised us from the gates of death: let us glorify Thee, O Only-Begotten.
Risen Thou, giving life to the human race:
Forasmuch as thou dost bow down in prayer:
Thou hast frightened these kings of hell, and hast taken up the gates of weeping.
For when the King entereth into His glory,
He speaketh to them that are in bonds, saying: Go forth;
And to them that are in darkness, let light be opened.
O Wonderworking, co-operating with the Invisible, having suffered in the flesh for man's love, Thou hast raised up the Immortal. Come, let us worship Thy Presence: for by Thy spiritual deception Thou didst deliver us, and having been trained to sing in three Persons of One God.
Glory, and now, O Theotokos:
Most humble and pure Virgin, most glorious and holy: for He who is the Co-Worker of all, having desired to dwell in man with unspeakable power, has entered into a strange and wondrous mystery! Who shall not be amazed at this, that God, being made man, undergoes no diminishment; and he passes through the double gates unharmed, as the prophecy declares: "Man cannot pass when this happens, except by one, the Lord and God."
