On the Sabbath evening, at the Little Evening, to the Lord I cried out, with the Resurrection stichera of the semitonion.

By Thy holy Word, O Lord, Thou hast confounded the devil, and by Thy Resurrection Thou hast dulled the sharpness of sin, and hast raised us from the gates of death: let us glorify Thee, O Only-Begotten.

Risen Thou, giving life to the human race:
Thou didst teach by kneeling down.
Thou didst terrify those kings of hell,
And tookst for Thyself the gates of weeping.
For entering in with the King of glory,
He spake unto them that were in bonds, "Go forth":
And to them that were in darkness, the doors were opened.

Blessed Wonder, co-worker of the invisible, having suffered in the flesh for man's love, hast risen immortal. Come, let us worship Thy presence: for by Thy spiritual deception Thou didst deliver us, and having been trained to sing in three Persons of One God.

Glory, and honour, now, to the Theotokos:

Most merciful and gracious Virgin Maiden, most preeminent among cherubim: thou hast been made the associate of all things by thy longing, having entered into the Holy of Holies, and having received from the unutterable [gifts]. O marvels of strange and glorious mysteries! Who shall not be amazed at that which is inspired, for man becomes God, and the transformation in him is not; and he passes through the double gates, and diminishment in him does not cease, as the prophecy says: "Man shall not pass when this happens, but only one, the Lord and His Christ."
