On the Sabbath evening, at the Little Evening, to the Lord I cried out, with the Resurrection stichera of the Semiglottal.

By Thy holy Word, O Lord, Thou hast confounded the devil, and by Thy Resurrection Thou hast dulled the sinful sting, and hast raised us from the gates of death: we glorify Thee, only-begotten.

Risen Thou, giving life to the human race:
Because thou didst pray on thy knees:
Thou didst terrify those kings of hell,
And tookst for thyself the gates of weeping.
For entering into the King's glory,
Hast spoken to them in bonds, saying: Go forth;
And to them in darkness, hast opened.

O Wonderworking, co-operating with the Invisible, having suffered in the flesh for love of man, Thou hast risen immortal. Come, let us worship Thy grace: for by Thy spiritual deception Thou didst deliver us, and having become skilled in three Persons of One God to sing Thee hymns.

Glory, and now, O Theotokos:

O most merciful and pure Virgin, most glorious and holy: for thou hast willed to be the companion of the Cherubim; for thou hast become a co-heir with all things by thy desire, having entered into this ineffable mystery. O from strange things and marvellous mysteries! Who shall not wonder at that which is inspired, since man becomes God, and the transformation in him is not lost; and he passes through the double gates and diminishment does not cease in him, as the prophecy says: "Man shall not pass hence when once he has received Thee, O Lord Jesus Christ, having taken upon Him great mercy."
