On the Sabbath evening, at the Little Evening, I cried to the Lord, with the Resurrection stichera of the semivowels.

By Thy holy Word, O Lord, Thou hast confounded the devil, and by Thy Resurrection Thou hast dulled the sharpness of sin, and hast raised us from the gates of death: let us glorify Thee, O Only-Begotten.

Resurrection giving to the human race: For thou didst teach in prostration:
Thou didst terrify these kings of hell, and didst take upon thee the gates of weeping.
For entering into the King's glory, Christ spake to them that were in bonds, saying: Go forth; and to them that were in darkness, let it be opened.

Blessed Wonder, co-worker of the invisible, having suffered in the flesh for man's love, hast risen immortal. Come, let us worship Thy grace: for by the grace of the delusion thou didst deliver thyself, and having been baptized in three Persons of One God, thou didst learn to sing.

Glory, and now, O Theotokos:

Most merciful and gracious Virgin Maiden, most pre-eminent among cherubim: thou hast been made the associate of all things divine, having entered into them by thine own will; O marvels of strange and glorious mysteries! Who shall not be amazed at that which is implanted in thee? For man becomes God, and his transformation within him does not cease; and he passes through the gates of death, and diminishment does not abide in him, as the Prophets declare: "Man shall not pass this way when it is closed, except by One, the Lord and God."
