On the Sabbath evening, at the Little Evening, to the Lord I cried out, with hexameters of the Resurrection voice.

By Thy holy Word, O Lord, Thou hast confounded the devil, and by Thy Resurrection Thou hast dulled the sharpness of sin, and hast raised us from the gates of death: we glorify Thee, only-begotten.

Risen Thou, giving life to the human race:
Forasmuch as Thou dost lead in prayer:
Thou hast terrified these kings of hell,
And taken up the gates of weeping.
For entering into the King's glory,
Hast spoken to them that are in bonds,
Go forth: and to them that are in darkness, let it be opened.

Blessed Wonder, co-worker of the invisible, having suffered in the flesh for man's love, hast risen immortal. Come, let us worship thee: by thy blessed womb thou didst deliver thyself from delusion, and being skilled in the three Persons of one God to sing.

Glory, and honour, now, to the Theotokos:

Most merciful and gracious Virgin Maiden, most honorable Cherubim: He who desired to be a partaker of all things, having entered within by an unutterable entrance. O strange and glorious mysteries! Who shall not wonder at Him who is made known in these things, for man becomes thereby transformed, and the change in him is not hidden; and he passes through the double gates, and diminishment in him does not cease, as the prophecy says: "Man shall not pass this when it has come to pass, but only God and His Only Begotten."
