On the Sabbath evening, at the Little Evening, to the Lord I cried out, stichera of the Resurrection with semitonion.
By Thy holy Word, O Lord, Thou hast confounded the devil, and by Thy Resurrection Thou hast dulled the sinful spear, and hast raised us from the gates of death: we glorify Thee, only-begotten.
Resurrection giving to the human race:
For thou didst teach in prostration:
Thou didst terrify these kings of hell,
And didst take up the gates of weeping.
For entering into the King's glory,
Jesus Christ, thou didst speak to them who were in bonds, "Go forth":
And to those who were in darkness, thou didst open.
Blessed Wonder, co-worker of the invisible, having suffered in the flesh for man's love, hast risen immortal. Come, let us worship Thy grace: for by the blessedness of thy undeception from delusion, thou hast learned to sing with three Persons of one God.
Glory, and honour, now, to the Theotokos:
Most merciful and gracious Virgin Maiden, most preeminent among cherubim: thou hast consented to be the associate of all things, desiring to dwell in thee ineffably. O strange and glorious mysteries! Who shall not wonder at this being implanted, for man is made God, and the transformation within him does not cease; and he passes through the double gates, and diminishment within him does not cease, as the prophecy speaks: "Man shall not pass when this happens, but only one, the Lord and Elijah, having great mercy."
