On the Sabbath evening, at the Little Evening, to the Lord I cried out, with hexameter stichiras of the Resurrection.

By Thy holy Word, O Lord, Thou hast confounded the devil, and by Thy Resurrection Thou hast dulled the sharpness of sin, and hast raised us from the gates of death: we glorify Thee, only-begotten.

Risen Thou, giving life to the human race:
Forasmuch as with bowed knees we beseech Thee:
Thou hast terrified these kings of hell,
And didst take upon Thyself the gates of weeping.

For lo, the King entereth in glory, Jesus Christ,
Speaking to them that are in bonds, "Go forth:"
And to them that are in darkness, "Be opened."

Blessed Wonder, co-worker of the invisible, having suffered in the flesh for man's love, hast risen immortal. Come, let us worship Thy grace: for by the grace of the delusion Thou didst deliver Thyself, and art skilled in singing in three Persons of One God.

Glory, and honour, now, to the Theotokos:

O most merciful and gracious Maiden, most preeminent among virgins: for thou hast desired to be a co-heir with all, having entered into this ineffable mystery. O from strange things and glorious mysteries! Who shall not wonder at that which is implanted in thee? For God the Man has become man, and the diminishment in him does not cease; and he passes through the double gates, and the weakening in him does not abide, as the prophecy says: "Man shall not pass this when it is sealed, except by one, the Lord and God, who holds the key of prayer."
