And this troparion, of the third tone:
Grant, O Lord, to Thy servants peace and quiet,
that with understanding of heart we may glorify Thee. Amen.
Blessed Pastor, Thou hast laid Thy Soul upon us, O Most Hidden, Worked in me by Thee alone, nearest and dearest, have mercy on me, who am wandering in the mind astray, and deliver me from the wolf, the sheep of Christ, and forgive me.
O deep sleep of spiritual lethargy, darkened by the delusion of sin: but grant me morning of repentance, enlightening my thoughts, O Holy Theotokos, enlightenment of my soul, and save me.
By the mist of sins and by the sweetness of worldly joys we entwine our own souls, giving birth to various passions, and compunction does not come to them. But still, O Saviour, my humility, and grant me a thought of compunction, that I may be saved before the end by thy blessed womb: O Lord, save me, the longed-for and unworthy one.
As I fell among robbers, and was wounded, even so I fell into many sins, and my soul is grieved within me. To whom shall I flee the guilty one? Only to Thee, O great Physician of souls: heal me, O great mercy.
Glory to Thee, and to Thy Son, and to Thy Holy Spirit.
O wayward son, I have come and am still merciful: receive me, O Mother, having returned, for I am but one of thy hired servants.
And now and for evermore. Amen.
Deliver us, O Theotokos, from those who uphold sins against us: for if even the faithful ones do not have any, how much more from Thee, and born of Thee, O Lady.
O Lord, have mercy. [Thou.] And of bowings and prostrations, with humility:
Lord, be merciful to me, a sinner, and forgive me for I am a stranger to Thy holy stead.
Mercy of God great and glorious:
Again I have been taken captive by weeping and by the deceitful custom, working in me sin. Again I am a prince of darkness and father of passionate delights; thou hast made me a prisoner, and as with a slave, according to thy will and desire, thou dost compel me to work against my will. And what do I do, O my Lord and Saviour, and my protector for those who call upon thee? Yet I fear and tremble lest, like always, I confess again, and fail to hear the promises made to me, and sin at every hour: and not giving thee, O my God, my prayer as a due offering, thy long-suffering riseth up against wrath. And who can endure thine anger, O Lord? For thou knowest, O Lover of mankind, the multitude of thy mercies, and the depth of thy compassion towards me; again I turn to thee in prayer, crying out: "For all that I have sinned, forgive." Have mercy on me, fallen one, give me a hand of help, plunged into the depths of sweetness. Do not abandon, O my creation, lest I be corrupted by my own unrighteousness and sins; but by thy habitual mercy and goodness, compel me to avoid uncleanness and evil thoughts, which defile always my heart, which is wept over. For indeed, O Lord, as thou hast seen, there is no place of purity in it, but all manner of filthiness, and the whole body covered with wounds. Thou, O Lover of mankind, physician of soul and body, fount of prayer, cleanse thy tears flowing upon me sweetly: pour out on me thy love, and give me healing and cleansing, heal my brokenness, and do not turn away thy face from me, lest I be consumed by the fire of wrath; but as thou hast spoken, true God, for indeed joy cometh to those who confess one sinner with gladness, and thou didst make it so on me, and didst not shut up in a treasury of goodness before my confession, but didst open them, like a fire, to be healed through prayer. For the weakness of nature is to thee no obstacle, nor the desire of youth, nor the heaviness of body; thou despisest sin, and receivest repentance from those who call upon thee in truth. Again blessed art thou, O Lord, and praised, now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.
Multiform, uncorrupted, unsullied, sinless Lord, cleanse me, Thy unworthy servant, from all bodily and spiritual uncleanness, and from negligence and inattention that have come to me today, together with all my other sins. And keep me unsullied before Thee, for Thy mercy's sake, and remember me in Thine advent: That I may arise from the darkness of unclean visions, and from all uncleanness, be endowed with a clean conscience to confess my own uncleanness and impurity, and to praise Thy most holy name, O Father, and Son, and Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.
O Lord our God, who hast forgiven us our sins this seventh day in word, deed, and thought, because Thou art a God of love and mercy, forgive us. Give me rest and peace, O guardian angel sent to watch over me, covering and keeping me from all evil: for Thou art the Guardian of our souls and bodies, and unto Thee we send glory, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.

Lord, do not deprive me of Thy heavenly blessings. Lord, deliver me from eternal torments. Lord, by thought and word and deed I have sinned, forgive me. Lord, deliver me from all unknown, forgotten, foolish, and hardened sins. Lord, deliver me from every temptation. Lord, enlighten my heart which is darkened by the deceitful lusts. Lord, as a man I have sinned, but Thou, O God, being merciful, forgive me, seeing the weakness of my soul. Lord, send Thy mercy to help me, that I may glorify Thee with my lips. Lord, O holy Theotokos, write me, Thy servant, in the Book of Life, and grant me a good end. Lord, my God, though I have done nothing good before Thee, yet by Thy grace, establish for me the beginning of goodness. Lord, pour upon my heart the dew of Thy mercy. Lord, all earth and heaven, remember me, O sinful servant, learner, and unclean, in Thy holy presence. Amen.
Lord, in my prayer receive me. Lord, do not forsake me. Lord, lead me not into temptation. Lord, give me a mind for good. Lord, give me tears and the memory of mortality, and compunction. Lord, give me thought and confession of my sins. Lord, give me humility, integrity, and obedience. Lord, give me patience, great-heartedness, and meekness. Lord, implant in me the root of goodness, thy fear in my heart. Lord, grant that I may love thee from all my soul and thoughts, and do thy will in everything. Lord, cover me from men some, and demons, and passions, and every unseemly thing. Lord, as thou hast wrought, even as thou wilt, let thy will be done in me the sinful: for blessed art thou for ever. Amen.

O Lady, Theotokos, with Thy powerful and all-powerful prayers, join Thou me to the humility and repentance of Thy servant, O my soul, forgetting, senselessness, slothfulness, and all filthiness, vain thoughts, and wicked and shameful thoughts from the heart of mine. And quench the flame of my passions, for I am poor and have repented: and deliver me from many and bitter memories, and from all devisings, and from all heard deeds. For Thou art blessed of all peoples, and Thy name is glorified exceedingly for ever and ever. Amen.

Most glorious Cherubim, and most renowned Seraphim, we magnify thy unflappable words of God's glory, O Theotokos, that gave birth thereto, being in very truth thy great honor.

Glory to Thee, and to Thy Father, and to the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
Lord, have mercy. [Three times.]
Blessed art Thou, Lord.
Lord Jesus Christ, God, pray for me, a sinner, through Thine holy prayer, and all Thy saints, save me.
O Lord, from the profanation:
Hear my prayer, O God, and in Thy mercy hear me.
For Thou art holy, and all Thy saints are in Thy presence continually,
And they behold Thy power and the glory of Thy holiness.
Thou hast given us power through Thine Only Begotten Son Jesus Christ our God,
That we might not be subject to vanity and delusion:
But we have erred from Thee, O Lord, and transgressed against Thee;
We have thought upon vain things, and have walked in pride.
Therefore, with compunction of heart we cry unto Thee:
O Lord, save us, for Thou art our God,
And grant us to see Thy face with understanding,
That we may receive the light of Thy countenance and be saved.
For Thou art good, O Lord, and lovest man;
Thou hast created him in Thine image and after Thy likeness.
But because of sin, death hath entered into the world:
And by the devil's deceit, our race is fallen from grace.
Therefore, have mercy upon us, O God,
And deliver us from the power of darkness,
That we may be delivered from vanity and delusion.
For Thou art the Light of the world, O Lord,
And Thy glory shineth upon them that fear Thee:
Thou art the Way, the Truth, and the Life;
Thou art our Hope in every tribulation.
Therefore, with faith and hope we cry unto Thee:
O Lord, have mercy upon us, for Thou art our God,
And grant us to walk in Thy commandments and keep Thy covenant.
For Thou art righteous, O Lord, and lovest righteousness:
Thy judgments are a light to our feet and a lamp to our paths.
Grant us, therefore, O Lord, to walk in the way of Thy commandments
And to keep Thy statutes for evermore,
That we may receive the inheritance of those who fear Thee.
For Thou art our King, O Lord, and our Deliverer:
Thou hast delivered us from the hand of our enemies,
And hast given us rest upon Thy holy hill.
Therefore, with thanksgiving and praise we cry unto Thee:
O Lord, bless us, for Thou art our God,
And grant us to dwell in Thy presence
And to receive the glory of Thy kingdom.
For Thou art the Life Everlasting, O Lord:
Thou art the Source of all blessing and mercy.
Grant us, therefore, O Lord, to partake of Thy divine grace
And to be filled with the Holy Spirit,
That we may glorify Thee for evermore.

O Lord our God, most merciful and lover of mankind, most holy and resting in thy high throne, who wast seen by the apostle Peter with a glorious vision, let nothing unclean or impure be thought of those created for food and enjoyment, and as vessels chosen by thee, Apostle Paul, who commanded all things to be cleansed: Thou Thyself art Most High, calling upon the fearful and pre-eminent name of Thee, and by the sign and life-giving cross, bless and cleanse Thy servant [my soul], defiled from every unclean spirit, from every dream and vision, from every sin and deceit, from every consent and folly, and from every sorrow, and from every grief, and from every contrary to sweetness of the devil. And now, O unworthy servant [my soul], be enabled to serve Thy most holy mysteries. Before cleanse my soul and body from every uncleanness, and forgive all sins, voluntary and involuntary, which I have committed in all days of my life, by deed, word, and thought, day and night, until this present hour. And grant me, O Most mighty Lord, to serve these fearful heavenly orders, and to partake of thy most holy mysteries not for judgment or condemnation, but for the remission of sins, and for the coming age, and a life of eternal joy which Thou hast prepared for Thy true servant. Keep me, O All-powerful Lord, from every sin and sorrow, keep me undefiled and unblemished from every contrary to the devil: And grant me, O Lord, to serve Thee in holiness and righteousness until my last day and hour, for Thou art blessed and glorified of all ages, O our God, to Thee we send our praise with Thy eternal Father and Most Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
Of sin, and for its sake there cometh spiritual temptation in sleep:
To judge sincerely and to call a brother his own: this is greatly sinful. For high-mindedness and pride are also sinful. From many days and feasts, it is fitting; from nature without movement and without thought, it flows forth, as do excesses: from bodily weakness and some sicknesses: from devilish envy. Therefore, though they be without sin, they are called a sore.
