Having sinned against thee, O Spasiteli, as the wayward son, receive me, Thy penitent, and have mercy on me, O Theotokos.

Glory: I call upon Thee, O Saviour, with the voice of a penitent: Purify me as Thou didst purify him, and have mercy on me, O Mother of God.

Now: Thee, Lord, do not despise my supplication, for upon Thee doth my soul rely; have mercy on me.

O Lord, have mercy, and grant peace:

O Master, Lord of all and Creator of all, merciful Father, and our God, who from the earth didst create man, and didst show him according to Thy image and after Thy likeness, that thereby Thou mightest glorify Thy great name on earth, and hast stirred up our sighings through transgression.

Thy commandments, again renewing Him in Thy Holy Spirit, and exalt Him on high:

I thank Thee, because Thou hast multiplied greatness to me, and didst not deliver me into the hands of my enemies until the end, that they might have sought to cast me down into the abyss: but Thou didst sustain.

Thou hast caused me to be destroyed with my own iniquities. Now I pray Thee, O Lord, who art much to be feared and full of mercy, not willing the death of the sinner, but the repentant waiting for conversion, receive and restore me to repentance, and convert him that is cast down and set right.

And having been crushed and healed: remember Thy mercies, O Lord, and Thy immeasurable goodness from of old, which Thou hast caused me to forget my lawlessness by word and deed and thought. Loosen the bonds of my heart, and give me tears of compunction for the purification of my foulness.

Thoughts of mine, O Lover of mankind. Thou hearest, cleanse the holy heart and from the tortures within me, reigning in my soul with their afflictions, grant freedom to my spirit: and let not sin hold me captive, nor let the adversary overcome me according to his will, but lead me unto Thy desire.

O Lord, but by Thy mighty hand, having subjected me to Thy dominion, Thou rulest within me, O gracious and loving King, in all of Thy being and life. And grant me incomparable grace, a pure and guarded heart, O Comforter.

Righteousness of deeds, wisdom in humility, peace of thoughts, quietude of my spiritual powers, joy divine, love true, long-suffering, gladness, meekness, faith without hypocrisy, self-control, and all other good fruits, fulfill by Thy gift.

Most holy Theotokos, pray to Thy Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. And do not exalt me in the division of my days, lower than unrepentant and unprepared spirit to take away: but perfect me by Thy perfection, and thus lead me in this present life, that having passed through the beginning and power of darkness, I may be found blameless before Thee.

With unspeakable goodness I have tasted and, O Father, have not approached thy ineffable glory with all thy angels: in them I have dwelt and glorified thee, O Father, and Son, and Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto the ages of ages, Amen.
