I have sinned against thee, O Spasiteli, as the prodigal son; receive me, Thy penitent child, and have mercy on me, O Mother of God.

Glory: I call upon Thee, O Saviour, with the voice of a penitent: Purify me as Thou didst purify him, and have mercy on me, O God.

Now: Thee, Lord, do not despise my supplication, for in Thee my soul hath taken refuge; have mercy on me.

O Lord, have mercy, and grant peace:

O Master, Lord of all and Creator of all, merciful Father, and our God, who from the earth didst create man, and didst show him according to Thy image and after Thy likeness, that thereby Thou mightest glorify Thy great name upon the earth, and hast stirred up our wills by transgression.

Of Thy commandments, again renewing Him in Thy Holy Spirit, and raise Him up to the heavenly realm: I thank Thee, because Thou hast multiplied in me greatness Thine, and didst not deliver me into the hands of my enemies until the end, and didst not suffer them to draw me down into the abyss: but below Thou didst steadfastly uphold.

Thou hast caused me to be destroyed with my own iniquities. Now I beseech Thee, O Most Merciful, and being much given to prayer and much meditating on the law of God, not willing that sinners should die but rather that they should turn from their ways and live, receive me who am cast down, corrected, crushed, and healed; turn me to repentance, and correct him who is cast down.

And having been broken and healed: remember Thy mercies, O Lord, and Thy immeasurable goodness from of old, which Thou hast caused me to forget my boundless sinfulness, for by deed and word and thought I have brought about this captivity of my heart; and grant me tears of compunction for the purification of my foulness.

Thoughts of mine, O Lover of mankind. Thou hearest, cleanse the holy fear within me, and from the dominion of passions reigning in my soul, O Saviour: and let not sin hold me captive, nor let the adversary prevail against me, but lead me according to Thy will.

O Lord, but by Thy mighty hand, having subjected me to Thine authority, Thou rulest within me, O gracious and loving King, in all of Thy being and life. And grant me, O Good One, a ineffable goodness, a purified heart, a kept spirit.

Righteousness of deeds, wisdom in humility, peace of thoughts, quietude of my spiritual powers, joy divine, love true, long-suffering, bliss, meekness, faith without hypocrisy, self-control steadfast, and all other good fruits, fulfill by Thy gift.

Most Holy Theotokos, pray to Thy Son and our God, Jesus Christ.

Thou didst not exalt me in the division of my days, nor below the unrighteousness and unpreparedness of my soul to take it: but perfect me by thy perfection, and thus lead me in the present life, that I may pass without hindrance the beginning and power of darkness, through Thy mercy.

With unspeakable goodness I have tasted and, O Father, with all Thy creatures: in them I have dwelt and glorified Thy most holy and magnificent Name, O Father, and Mother, and Spirit, now and ever and unto the ages of ages, Amen.
