In the lawless, I have come to myself as a wayward one; I dare not look upon the heavenly heights, but daring myself on thy love for mankind, I cry: O Lord, cleanse me, the sinful one, and save me.

Glory: The merciful Theotokos doth strive to save me, O my wandering and long-since estranged life. Looking with unwearied hope upon the riches of thy bounty, I have relied on thine unspeakable compassion: now that it hath taken me in, do not despise my heart, for in thee, O Lord, do I cry with compunction: I have sinned against heaven and before thee.

Now: The supplication of the Christians ceasing on the second day, which thou didst bring forth more than words from God, ceaselessly pray with thy mighty powers, that deliverance from sins and correction of life may be given to us all, and faith and love continually to them who invoke thee.

O Lord, have mercy, and grant peace:

O Master All-Controlling, incomprehensible Beginning of the Light, and exceeding Power, in Whom is the Word of the Father's Essence, and One in Thy Might: for mercy’s sake, and unspeakable Goodness, not despising the human nature, Thou didst descend in a cloud.

Hearken to the voice of our prayer, O Lord, and grant us, in watchful and sober heart, to pass through all this present night, waiting for Thy coming and the coming of our God, that we may not lie down or sleep, but be watchful and arise in deed.

Because thy commandments we shall find, and in joy we shall meet together, where the worshippers sing an unceasing hymn, and the unspeakable sweetness of them who see Thy face with goodness that cannot be uttered. As thou art good and lover of mankind, O God, to thee we send glory, Father, and Son, and Holy Spirit.

Holy God, holy strong One, holy Immortal, have mercy on us now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
