With a devout heart, Lord, behold my humility, for a short life I await and there are no works from which I might find salvation. Therefore, I pray: With a devout heart, Lord, behold my humility, and save me.
Glory: As the Judge standing before, the soul beseeches and fears the dreadful hour of judgment: for the judgment is not slack, having been made without delay. O Soul, cry to Jesus Christ: Heart-searching One, I have sinned, even before Thou didst judge; have mercy on me.
And now: The dread and terrible and unclean judgment of Thy throne doth sit in the heart to receive the day and hour; trembling with fear as with a shiver, I stand before deeds and works evil, wherefore alone have I labored diligently. Therefore with fear I fall down unto Thee, crying piteously:
By thy many-praising prayers, save me.
O Lord, have mercy, and grant peace:
O Holy One, who livest on high and seest with thine all-seeing eyes every creature, we have bowed our soul and body before thee, and we pray to thee, O Holy One: stretch forth thy invisible hand from the holy habitation of thine, and bless all things.
Now. And if we have sinned against Thee willingly and unwillingly, O Good and Lover of Mankind God, forgive us, granting to us peace of Thy mercy. For Thine own it is to love and save our soul, O Father, and to Thee do we send forth glory, now and ever.
And for ever and ever, Amen.
