With a devout heart, Lord, behold my humility, for my life hangs by a slender thread and there is no hope in my deeds. Therefore, I pray: With a devout heart, Lord, behold my humility, and save me.

Glory: As the Judge standing before, the soul beseeches and fears the dreadful hour of judgment: for the judgment is not slack, having no delay. O Soul, cry to Jesus: Heart-searching One, I have sinned even before Thou didst judge me; have mercy on me.

Now: Thou, O Dreadful and Fearful and Unspotted Judge, in Thy heart receivest the day and the hour to tremble as with a leaf, for deeds and works of wickedness; wherefore I alone have laboured diligently. Therefore do I fall down in fear before Thee, groaning out my sickness:

By thy many-tongued prayers, save me.

O Lord, have mercy, and grant peace:

O Thou Holy One, who livest on high and seest with Thy holy eyes all the creation, we have bowed our soul and body before Thee, and we pray to Thee, O Holy One: stretch forth Thine invisible hand from Thy holy habitation and bless all things.

Now. And if we have sinned against Thee willingly and unwillingly, O Good and Lover of Mankind God, forgive us, granting to us and to all our merciful good things Thine. For Thou art He who loveth and saveth our soul, O Father, and unto Thee we send forth glory, now and ever.

And for ever and ever, Amen.
