Стра́шный тво́й прⷭ҇то́лъ, лꙋка́вое моѐ житїѐ, и҆ кто́ мѧ и҆зба́витъ тогда́шнїѧ нꙋ́жды, а҆́ще не ты̀ поми́лꙋеши мѧ̀ хрⷭ҇тѐ бж҃е, ꙗ҆́кѡ ще́дръ и҆ чл҃вѣколю́бецъ;
Terrible is thy temptation, O my deceitful life, and who shall deliver me from the necessity of that day, unless thou dost forgive me, O Jesus Christ, for thou art bountiful and lover of man.

Glory: He kept watch over my life and drove evil from me, and what shall I do for my Saviour? For this I knock at the doors and call out: O Lord, O Lord, open to me with repentance, and save me.

And now: What shall we call thy temple, O Theotokos? A haven of rest; a sweet paradise, an unending life of intercession; for thou hast all good things. Ever pray to Jesus, that our souls may be saved.

O Lord, have mercy, and grant peace:

Blessed be the Almighty and glorious, Blessed be the great and strong, Blessed be the eternal, hear the prayer of this sinful man in this hour: Hear me, O Promise-keeper, who hast promised to hear those who call upon Thee in truth, and let not my unclean lips draw near unto Thee, nor hold me in sin.

Blessing of all ends of the earth, and of those journeying far. Receive my weapon and shield, and arise in my behalf, and let there be poured out the sword, and encompass thou them that fight against me: drive forth the unclean spirits from the face of my madness, and let not the spirit of hatred enter into my thoughts.

And let the spirit of envy and deceit, the spirit of fear and trembling, the spirit of pride and every kind of wickedness: and may all flame and movement of my flesh, composed by demonic activity, be extinguished; and may my soul, body, and spirit be enlightened by Thy light.

Blessed be the divine knowledge, that by multitude of thy mercies I may attain to the perfection of faith, in a manly manner and measure growing up. And I will glorify thee with the angels, and with all thy saints, O Father, and God, and Lord, now and forever.

For ever and ever, Amen.
