Irmos: Ruler of the heavens, the angel began to sing with the venerable youth / while the unbelievers fell silent at the command of God, / and the tormentor was made to proclaim: / Blessed art Thou, O Theotokos, our Mother.

Weeping in the stranger's land, by thy sun thou art clothed, / and in the day by all the Master, the earth's light is more dim, crying out:
Blessed art thou, O Theotokos, Mother of our God.

Blessed art Thou, O Theotokos, Mother of our God. Thy coming in the light from on high rejoiced the Father and filled all with joyous singing, sounding forth: Blessed art thou, O Maiden, Virgin of our King.

Theotokos: By Thee were we born twice, / a light shining upon all the universe: / Thou didst bear in thy womb the Life of all. / All-holy One, pray for us, / that we may receive the faithful seal of Thy mercy.

Glory to Thee, O Lord, for Thy merciful compassion and resurrection.

Strange is the figure!
And deliver us from the toil of Pharaoh,
He is bound by His own will,
And looses the fetters of sin.
To Him we sing with faith:
Savior God, blessed art Thou.

Thee they saved on the crown of thy head, O Lord, by the hands of lawless and impious triplets, / breaking the brazen gates and the bars thereof, / in salvation singing for us: / Saviour, blessed art Thou.

Wretched are thy teeth that pierced me with their own deceitfulness: / but Thou Thyself, O God, hast crushed the serpent, / and strength hast given me to cry out: / Blessed art Thou, O Theotokos, our Intercessor.

O sanctuary of nature, thou art alone the gracious God,
on the arm of the throne of the Cherubim sittest
for bearing them thou criest:
Blessed be Thou, O Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Katavasia: Not served thee, O creature, by the divine wisdom / but rather by fiery condemnation man hath corrected, / rejoicing to sing: / Blessed is the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
