God, being crucified, by the flesh seeing Thy countenance spreading fear: /

By death, death is destroyed lying: /
for not enduring the breath of life, the body is made lifeless, /
and by the strong it is overcome, and to all is given resurrection.

In the grave for three days lying,
Thou didst rise by Thy life-giving resurrection,
Before those who were dead and those condemned.
And the judgment was opened, rejoicing with gladness,
All deliverance came to Thee, crying out.

Glory to Thee, O City of God: For Thou wast born from Thee, O Virgin, by a vision seen,
With a pierced heart, pure in spirit, didst thou bear Him,
And with fear and trembling didst thou say:
What shall I give, my child, to this people without law?

Thou dost consume my corruptible flesh and mortal life, all-merciful God,
And from thy womb receivedst an unspeakable reception of great joy,
And having made this incorruptible, didst bind it to thee for ever.

Seeing Thee incarnate and beholding the countenance of an angel, we were struck with fear; / And as a virgin, Thou art glorified with unspeakable hymns.

Glory to Thee, and to Thy Son, and to Thy Holy Spirit.

Weeping we saw in the vision of holy Daniel,
the stone that was cut out without hands:
and the golden diadems, O Lord, Thou didst crush strongly.

Not the word of thy mortal flesh, nor tongue of two can praise worthily:
For from thee, without seed, O Life-Bearer Jesus Christ, did the life-giver Theotokos conceive, transgressing not, by thy good pleasure.

We beseech Thee, O Master merciful, preserve us from all visible and invisible enemies,
and from foreign inroads,
and from every calamity and tribulation,
who through faith and love celebrate the glorious Resurrection of Thy Son Jesus Christ,
for which cause Thou hast vouchsafed to grant us
the enjoyment of eternal blessed joys.
