as Thou, O Lord my God, /

God, being crucified, by the flesh seeing Thy countenance spreading fear: /
but with a sustaining hand for our sake, Thou art held firmly.

Glory to Thee, O Lord, for Thy resurrection glorified Thee.

By death, death is destroyed lying: /
for not enduring the breath of life,
the spiritual wound is inflicted strongly, and to all there is given resurrection.

The Theotokos: With the divine mystery of thy conception, / every rank of nature is surpassed in wonder: / for God transcendentally took thee as his dwelling / in the womb, and having given birth, thou dost abide ever in twain.

In the grave for three days lying,
Thou didst rise by Thy life-giving resurrection,
Before Thou wast made an offering of death,

Glory to Thee, O City of God: For Thou wast born from Thee, O Virgin, by a vision seen,

What shall I give, O Child, to this people without law?

Thou dost consume my corruptible flesh and mortal life, all-merciful God, / And from thy holy womb receivest an unspeakable reception of joy, / And having made this incorruptible, didst unite it unto thee for ever.

Seeing Thee incarnate and beholding the face of an angel, O Lord, we were struck with fear; / And as for the Mother, she glorified Thee with unsilent hymns.

Glory to Thee, and to Thy Son, and to Thy Holy Spirit.

Woe hath come upon us, for the vision of Daniel in the high mountain was revealed, / and from which a stone was cut without hands: / and it smote the iron bracelets, O God, with mighty power.

Не мо́жетъ сло́во тѧ̀ чл҃вѣ́ческое, / нижѐ ѧ҆зы́къ дв҃о похвали́ти досто́йнѡ: / и҆з̾ тебе́ бо без̾ сѣ́мене / жизнода́вецъ хрⷭ҇то́съ воплоти́тисѧ, пречⷭ҇таѧ, бл҃говолѝ.
Not the word of thy mortal flesh,
Nor tongue of two can praise worthily:
For from thee, without seed,
The life-giving Jesus Christ was made incarnate, transcending, well-pleasing.

Thou, O Theotokos, Song of Songs,
Living and without envy, fount of life,

In Thy holy and divine glory,

O Master, ever merciful Saviour,
Deliver us from all visible and invisible enemies,
And from alien nations' encroachments,
And every kind of trouble and distress,
Who through faith and love celebrate Thy holy Resurrection,
For which cause Thou hast granted unto us
The enjoyment of eternal bliss.

Theotokos: Astonished was Joseph, seeing more than nature, and with mind perceived / how upon thy rainless conception, O Lady, the Spirit, / by an unquenchable firebrand, a rod of Aaron's, burned, / and this witness and guardian of thine, the holy priest, cried out: / Two thou begettest, and in harvest again two abidest.
