Yirmos: Without beginning, Parent of the Son, God and Lord, becoming incarnate from the Virgin for our salvation, darkened to be enlightened, gathering together what was scattered: therefore we with all sing thee, Theotokos, in great glory.

**Choir Response:** A pure heart fashion thee in me, O Lord, and a right spirit renew thou within my womb. Jesus Christ is the true taste: taste and see; for he that is ancient for our sakes, having been before us from everlasting, offered himself as an offering for our sake, being consecrated by him who sanctifieth those partaking thereof. **Choir Response:** Do not cast me off from thy face, nor let thy saint’s stature be hidden from me. By soul and body may I be made holy, enlightened, saved, becoming a house to thee through the receiving of the divine mysteries, living in thee with the Theotokos and her home, O Giver of Goodness, full of grace.

**Choir Response:** Give me joy in thy salvation, and establish my house by thy Lady. As fire is for me, and as light is thy body, and as precious blood is mine: quenching sinful flesh, burning the thorns of passions, and enlightening all of me, I shall prostrate myself before thee.

**Choir Response:** O Theotokos, save us. God was made man from thy pure bloods; therefore, every creature sings to thee, and the multitude glorifies thee, for by thee all have seen with the eyes of faith, having been manifested in human nature.
