Glory to Thee, O Lord, glory to Thee! For Thou art life (жизнь) and we are in death; Thou art light (свет) and we walk in darkness; Thou art truth (правда) and we speak lies (ложь). We thank Thee not as is meet (како бы справедливо), but because of Thy mercy (милость); for Thou art good, and we are evil. Thou art the King (Царь) and we are servants; Thou art God (Бог) and we are men; Thou art the Life (Жизнь) and we are dead; Thou art the Light (Свет) and we are in darkness; Thou art the Truth (Правда) and we speak lies (Ложь).

Thy conqueror's right hand, O God, hath been glorified in strength: for it is immortal, because it is all-powerful, having made the path of the enemy and the unbeliever deep new.

By Thy pure hands, O God, Thou didst first create me; with Thy stretched-out hand, Thou didst cry to the earth for my corruptible body, which Thou didst receive from dust.

Death hath overcome me, and Thou hast delivered my soul into the hand of death; but by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit Thou didst place Thy soul in me, and having broken the bonds of everlasting death, Thou didst raise me up with immortality and glorified thee.

O Theotokos,

Rejoice, O fount of grace. Rejoice, ladder. Rejoice, door opened, O heavenly. Rejoice, candle. Rejoice, hand not laid aside, whereof the Life-giving One hath begotten the world.

And let it be according to the canonical, resurrection-giving precept.

Hymn: Theotokos doth give birth:

Jesus Christ glorifieth me, who was made flesh, Jesus Christ exalteth me, who was made humble, Jesus Christ, impassible, worketh with me, the suffering Life-bearer in my very flesh. Wherefore I sing a thankful hymn: For thou hast glorified.

Jesus Christ raiseth me up, who was crucified, Jesus Christ bringeth me to life, who was dead, Jesus Christ giveth me life, who was in death. Therefore with joyful hands I pour forth this victory song to the Saviour: For Thou hast glorified Thyself.

O Theotokos,

God the Father begat Thee, and the Theotokos brought Thee forth in the womb, and Thou wast incarnate, O Incarnate One, of one Substance with the Only-begotten, being known by two Essences: that Thou mightest be glorified.

And let us bless the throne of the Theotokos.

Thou bringest us worthy praise, which we cannot bring with unworthiness; truly, a persuasive praise, by which the Bridegroom taught us in secret: Rejoice, O Lady, and be thou a double-minded one.

O Ever-virgin Theotokos, with hearts pure and faithful spirits we cry to thee: Rejoice, O Lady of heaven, and our Bride undefiled.

O boundless depth of Thy unsearchable joy, O All-creating One, with an unshakable faith we bring to Thee our pure offering, saying: Rejoice, O Virgin Theotokos, thou that art not espoused.
