Thy victorious right hand, O God, in strength doth glorify Thee: for it is immortal, because mighty, having made the way of the enemy deep and slippery with new waters.

By Thy pure hands, O God, Thou first created me; with Thy stretched-out hand, Thou didst cry to the earth for my corruptible body, which Thou didst receive from dust.

Death hath overcome me, and Thou hast delivered my soul into the dominion of death; but by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit Thou didst place Thy soul within me, and having broken the bonds of everlasting imprisonment, Thou didst raise it up with immortality and glorified Thee.

O Theotokos,

Rejoice O fount of grace. Rejoice O ladder, and door of heaven, Rejoice O candlestick, and hand of gold, and burden not borne, since thou art the bearer of life to the world by thy birth from God.

And let it be according to the canonical, resurrection-giving precept.

Hymn: Theotokos doth give birth:

Jesus Christ glorifieth me, who was made flesh, Jesus Christ exalteth me, who was made obedient, Jesus Christ, the impassible One, worketh with me, the suffering Life-bearer in my very flesh. Wherefore I sing a thanksgiving hymn: For thou hast shone forth.

Jesus Christ raiseth me up, who was crucified, Jesus Christ bringeth me to life, who was dead, Jesus Christ giveth me life, who was dead. Therefore with joyful hands I pour forth this victory song, praising my Saviour: For Thou hast glorified.

O Theotokos,

God the Father begat Thee, and the Theotokos brought Thee forth in the womb, and Thou wast incarnate, transcending nature, of one Substance with the Father, known in two Essences: that Thou mightest be glorified.

And let us bless the throne of the Theotokos.

Thou, O Theotokos, dost worthy song bring us, impossible to sing; truly persuasive, by which Thou didst teach us the hidden mysteries: Rejoice, O Lady, with Thy Bridegroom, maid without wedlock.

O Ever-virgin Theotokos, with hearts pure and faithful spirits we cry to thee: Rejoice, O Lady of heaven, and our spotless Bride.

O boundless depth of Thy unsearchable joy, O All-creating One, with an undoubting faith we bring Thee our pure offering, saying: Rejoice, O Bridegroom, Thou the Second Person, and Thy Most Pure Bride.
