Glory to Thee, O Lord, glory to Thee!
Thy conquering right hand, O God, in strength doth glorify Thee: for it is immortal, because mighty, having made the path of the enemy and the fall of the impious deep.
By Thy pure hands, O God, Thou first created me; with Thy stretched-out hand, Thou didst cry to the earth for my corruptible body, which Thou didst receive from dust.
Death hath overcome me, and Thou hast delivered my soul to the power of death; but by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit Thou didst place Thy divine soul within me, and having broken the bonds of everlasting death, Thou didst raise me up with immortality and glorified Thee.
O Theotokos,
Rejoice O fount of grace. Rejoice O ladder, and door opened, Rejoice O candlestick, and hand of gold, and burden not borne, since thou art the bearer of life to the world's creatures.
And I, having been crucified, have risen again.
Hymn: The Theotokos doth give birth:
Jesus Christ glorifieth me, who was made flesh, Jesus Christ exalteth me, who was made humble, Jesus Christ, the impassible, worketh with me, O Sufferer of Death by Life. Wherefore I sing a thanksgiving hymn: For thou hast shone forth.
Jesus Christ raiseth me up, who was crucified, Jesus Christ bringeth me to life, who was dead, Jesus Christ giveth me life, who was slain. Therefore with joyful hands I pour forth this victory song, praising my Saviour: For Thou hast glorified.
O Theotokos,
God the Father begat Thee, and the Theotokos brought Thee forth in the womb, and Thou wast incarnate for our salvation, alone of one substance, known in two natures: that Thou mightest be glorified.
And I, having been canonized, stand before Thee, O Theotokos.
Thou bringest us worthy praise, which we cannot bring with unworthiness; truly, a persuasive one, by which the Lord taught us in secret: Rejoice, O Lady, double-bride, maid without marriage.
O Heavens-bearer and Mother of God, with hearts purest verily we cry to thee: Rejoice, O Heavenly Bride, Virgin Mother.
O boundless depth of Thy unsearchable joy, O All-creating One, with an undoubting faith we bring Thee our pure offering, saying: Rejoice in the Theotokos, O Virgin Bridegroom.
