O Lord, have mercy on me, according to the great mercy of Thine and the multitude of Thy mercies, cleanse my iniquity. More than that, wash away from me my iniquity, and from my sin cleanse me. For I know mine iniquity, and my sin is before me openly. In Thee alone have I sinned, and deceitfully against Thee have I wrought, that Thou mightest be justified in Thy words, and overcome when Thou judgest Me. Lo, in my iniquities was I conceived, and in sin did my mother bear me. Lo, Thou hast loved truth, O God, the hidden and secret wisdom of Thine. Thou hast anointed me with oil of gladness before Thee. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me more than snow. Let Thy handmaid’s ears give joy and gladness, let the bones of the humble rejoice. Turn away Thy face from my sins, and all my iniquities blot out. Make a clean heart within me, O Lord, and renew a right spirit in my inward parts. Do not cast me off from Thy face, nor take Thy Holy Spirit from me. Give me gladness according to Thy salvation, and establish me with the handmaid of Thine. Teach me the way of Thy commandments, that they may turn from unrighteousness unto Thee. Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O Lord, Thou God of salvation; my tongue shall declare Thy righteousness. Lo, Thou hast anointed my lips, and my mouth shall declare Thy praise. O Lord, Thou hast opened mine ears, and they shall proclaim Thy glory. For if Thou hadst desired a sacrifice, I would have given it: the offering of bulls Thou didst not will. A broken spirit Thou wilt not despise; a contrite heart, O God, Thou wilt not utterly abhor. Blessed are the blameless, by Thy will, sons; and let them be established in the walls of Jerusalem. Then wilt Thou desire the sacrifice of righteousness, offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they lay upon Thine altar young bullocks.
