O Lord, have mercy on me, according to the multitude of Thy mercies and the abundance of Thy compassion, cleanse my iniquity. More than that, wash away from me my iniquity, and from my sin cleanse me. For I know mine iniquity, and my sin is ever before me. In Thee alone have I sinned, and deceitfully have I wrought against Thee, that Thou mightest be justified in Thy words, and overcome when Thou judgest Me. Lo, in my iniquities was I conceived, and in sin did my mother bear me. Lo, Thou hast loved truth, O God, the hidden and secret wisdom of Thy greatness. Thou didst anoint me with oil of gladness, and cleansed me: Thou didst wash me, and whiter than snow shalt thou make me. My ears shall give joy to Thee, and my bones rejoice in humility. Turn away Thy face from my sin, and all my iniquities cleanse. Make my heart clean within me, O Lord, and renew my spirit in the womb. Do not cast me off from Thy face, nor take Thy Holy Spirit from me. Give me joy of salvation, and establish me in a house of prayer. Teach me the way of Thy commandments, that the unrighteous may be turned to Thee. Deliver me from blood, O Lord, the blood of Thy salvation, and my tongue shall speak of Thy righteousness. Thou art holy, O Lord, and hast anointed me with oil of gladness before the kings of the earth. Lo, they have heard of Thee, and shall proclaim Thy wondrous works. For though I would give Thee a sacrifice, I would give Thee a burnt offering: Thou hast not desired it. A broken spirit is acceptable to Thee; a contrite heart Thou wilt not despise. Blessed are the holy, by Thy will, sons, that they may be built up into the walls of Jerusalem. Then wilt Thou desire a sacrifice of righteousness, an offering and a whole burnt offering: then shall they lay upon Thine altar calves.
