O Lord, have mercy on me, according to the multitude of Thy great mercy and the abundance of Thy grace, cleanse my transgressions. More than that, wash away from me my unrighteousness, and from my sin cleanse me. For I know mine own transgression, and my sin is ever before me. In one alone have I sinned against Thee, and have wrought craftiness before Thee, that Thou mightest be justified in Thy words, and overcome when Thou judgest Me. Lo, in my unrighteousness was I conceived, and in sin my mother bore me. For Thou lovedst truth, O God, the hidden and secret wisdom of Thine. Thou didst anoint me with the oil of gladness, and cleansedst: Thou didst wash away, and more than snow shalt thou whiten. My ears shall give joy and gladness, and the bones of the humble shall rejoice. Turn Thy face from my sin, and all unrighteousnesses of mine cleanse. Make my heart clean within me, O Lord, and renew my spirit in the morning. Do not cast me off from Thy face, nor let Thy holy Spirit depart from me. Give me joy in Thy salvation, and establish me in a house of thy Lady. Teach me the way of Thy commandments, that the unrighteous may be turned to Thee. Deliver me from blood, O Lord, Thy salvation, my tongue shall rejoice in Thy truth. Thou hast heard, O my strength, and strengthenedst me; let not the words of my lips be hid from Thee. If Thou hadst desired a sacrifice, I would have given it: a burnt offering Thou didst not will. A sacrifice of a contrite spirit is acceptable to Thee: a broken heart, O God, Thou wilt not despise. Blessed are the righteous, by Thy will, sons; and let them be built up the walls of Jerusalem. Then shalt Thou desire a sacrifice of righteousness, an offering and a burnt offering: then shall they lay upon Thy altar young bullocks.
