Bless me, O God, by Thy great mercy and abundance of Thine mercies, cleanse my iniquity. More than that, wash me from the iniquity of mine own person, and from my sin cleanse me. For I know my iniquity, and my sin is before me, manifestly. I have sinned against Thee alone, and have wrought deceit before Thee, that Thou mightest be justified in Thy words, and overcome when Thou judgest Me. Lo, in my iniquities was I conceived, and in sin did my mother bear Me. Lo, Thou hast loved truth, O God, the hidden and secret wisdom of Thine. Thou hast enlightened me. Pour upon me dew from above, and cleanse me: wash me, and more than snow shall whiten me. Let Thy ears give joy to my heart, and let the bones of the humble rejoice. Turn away Thy face from mine iniquity, and all my iniquities cleanse. Make a clean heart within me, O God, and renew my spirit in the morning. Do not cast me off from Thy face, nor suffer Thine holy Spirit to depart from me. Give Me joy in Thy salvation, and establish Me in the house of Thy handmaidens. Teach Me the way of Thee, that the ungodly may return unto Thee. Deliver Me from blood, O God, Thy salvation; my tongue shall proclaim Thy righteousness. Thou hast heard, O Lord, my prayer, and let the words of my mouth be established. For though I would have offered a sacrifice, Thou didst not will it. A sacrifice to Thee is a contrite spirit: a contrite and humbled heart, O God, Thou wilt not despise. Blessed are the righteous, by Thy will, sons; and let them be built up the walls of Jerusalem. Then shalt Thou will a sacrifice of righteousness, an offering and a thing wholly consumed: then shall they lay upon Thine altar young bullocks.
